Where in Vegas isn't a great place to people watch?  Practically everywhere you go, you will see all sorts of people doing all sorts of things from the strange to the weird to the just plain silly.

One particularly great place to people watch, though, is near the Bellagio fountains, which are a natural gathering place for every sort of person imaginable.  You are likely to see families casually walking down the strip as well as bachelorette parties reveling in their celebration.  There will be happy honeymooners hugging each other while they watch the waters of the dancing fountains, as well as large groups of friends discussing how to deal with their compulsive gambler buddy who just lost his life savings to one hand of blackjack.  Vegas, the place where people watching is practically a professional sport.

Passing by Bill's Gamblin' Hall & Saloon (formerly the Barbary Coast Hotel) on the Strip you might notice a sign announcing "Big Elvis" is appearing in their Lounge  - complimentary - from 3 - 5 PM - join the crowd and really enjoy the cabaret show. The entertainer is charming, talented and very big - the perk was the multiple "Elvis" look-a-likes hanging out at the bar. These guys were not part of the actual show - they just enjoyed getting all dressed up as Elvis and being part of the scene.  They had the big jet black hair, the right sunglasses, tons of gold jewelry and flashy jumpsuits and lots of attitude...they might not always be there  - but they helped to make this the ultimate People Watching experience.  At one point "Big Elvis" asked for some men from the audience to come up and sing with him - one of the guys was 94 years old and his gyrations "ala Elvis" delighted the crowd..."Big Elvis" has his own website and you can check him out for yourself.
