Who from this area doesn't know the "inside scoop" on the White House Sub Shop? If they don't, they can't really be from this area. Anyone who is anyone is in one of the hundreds of pictures hanging on their walls. The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, you name it, they are there. Fresh italian sub rolls (noone from South Jersey calls them "hoagies", only tourists.) You can't get those Atlantic City rolls anywhere else. White House uses the best meats and cheeses (and loads them on) and fresh sub companions (tomatoes, lettuce, and yes, the ONIONS.) Great seasonings. Bill Cosby used to have these subs flown to him in California (and still may do so...). Locals know to call ahead! Great memories and great food at the White House Sub Shop. Make this a place to visit and eat (very reasonable prices too) during your next visit to Atlantic City.
