Recommendation for budget travelers: from Hua Lamphong Train Station, take Bus 29 to Victory Monument. This trip takes half an hour with no air con at 8 Baht. From Victory Monument, take air con Bus 551 to Suvarnabhumi Airport. It takes one hour at 34 Baht. Look for this bus under the BTS Sky Train walk way as by April 2007, the wording for Bus 551 is very small and you can miss it. Bus 551 stops at Transportation Center in the airport area. If you depart Thailand, take the free shuttle bus number 4 going to 4th floor of Suvarnabhumi Airport which takes about 10-15 minutes. Shuttle buses wait near the counter selling bus tickets to Pattaya. It stops once at the Domestic Departure Terminal and the last stop is International Departure Terminal.
