First, let's talk about Common Sense and Common Courtesy.

When taking Photos and/or video on the park attractions, Safety is very important. Never remove your seat belt or stand up on a ride to take a photo, always follow the safety rules at each attraction. When taking photos/videos on a moving attraction, make sure and you have the strap securely secured to yourself, and do not use the eyepiece viewfinder. When using a tripod, make sure you are in a safe area that would not cause someone to trip over it.

Everyone should show Common Courtesy to fellow Park Guests. This includes not using your flash, video lighting or external viewfinder at night locations, even if it is allowed (such as Fantasmic!), the use of flash or lights won't help, since the objects are so far away, and will just annoy the other guests. Use the internal viewfinder when possible to allow folks to enjoy the show without interference.

The general policy of the Disneyland Resort is to allow Photos and Video to be taken, unless directed otherwise at specific attractions. The following list will talk about Disneyland, California Adventure, Downtown Disney and the Hotels.

There are a couple of basic policies that can be found at certain attractions.

The first one is to not allow Flash Photography and external lighting. This includes the use of external viewfinders. Photos and Video are still allowed to be taken, but only using the natural lighting available.

The Second policy is No Photography or Video allowed at all. These are usually film based attraction subject to copyright issues. Also, no sound recording should be done at these attractions.

To keep the list simple, the following uses No Restrictions, No Flash and No Photos. This also refers to videos in the same manner.

Disneyland Park

Disneyland Railroad - No restrictions for most of the trip, with a No Flash policy while travelling thru the Grand Canyon/Primeval World dioramas.

Main Street Cinema - No Restrictions, but Common Courtesy says No Flash

Main Street Vehicles - No Restrictions, Safety Rules require you to remain seated

Disneyland: The First 50 Magical Years - No restrictions in the exhibit area, No Flash in the theater while the Movie is played

Enchanted Tiki Room - No Restrictions in the Patio area, No Flash during the show

Jungle Cruise - No Restrictions, Safety Rules require you to remain seated

Indiana Jones Adventure - No Restrictions in the queue, No Flash during the ride

Tarzan Treehouse - No Restrictions

The Disney Gallery - No Restrictions

Pirates of the Caribbean - No Restrictions in the queue, No Flash during the ride, Safety Rules require you remain seated
