There is plenty of information about Illinois available online, which can be very useful to visitors to the state.

            A good place to begin doing some research is on the official website of the Illinois Bureau of Tourism .  This is a typical US state tourism site, and contains lots of useful information for first time travelers and returning visitors to the area.  The Top Spots link is a useful tool for determining which area of the state to explore.  The user must first select one of the state’s seven regions, and is then offered information specific to the major cities and towns within that region.  The Features link contains articles of some of the state’s major attractions.  

            Illinois Travel is another site dedicated to providing travel information for potential visitors.  Between the two above mentioned sites, most tourism question should be answered.
