“Picky Long Island Jews LOVED IT”

Rose Hall Resort & Spa, A Hilton Resort

May 11, 2008

We're a family of picky Long Island Jews who have only liked one place that we've been to before. We ONLY stay at the Hyatt in Aruba. We won't go anywhere else since we haven't been happy on any other island. Well, after staying at Rose Hall, I have to say we will never go back to Aruba again.

The food was 5 star...steaks were almost Peter Luger quality. Even the bagels and Chinese food were amazing.

The pool was perfect, the ocean was warm and wasn't as rocky as people made it out to be.

We felt safe at all times. The service was great. We didn't tip all week and no one gave us dirty looks.

All I can say is, this is one vacation we'll never forget.

“Great Place for Families”

My husband and I stayed at Rosehall for a week and it was an enjoyable stay. if u are looking for a place with a nice beach this is NOT the place for u. the beach area is small and the water is not clear, u cant even see ur feet. The pools and the waterpark are great for adults and children. This place is good for a 3 - 4 day stay. the food is limited, the buffet is okay because there are many choices, but it is the same everyday. the 2 resturants are elegant and the food was amazing, but very small portions~ by the way when u come to rosehall thinking all inclusive means all inclusive it is not, u have limits on foods in the 2 resturants that are not included. Since this resort has others that dont have the all inclusive plan the staff all expect a tip from u. we had to make sure to have money with us all the time even by the pool for drinks. Dont get me wrong the staff is very nice and respectful, but they treat u different if u give them a tip. The place is extremely clean and well kept that made are stay a lot better. the rooms have amenities that are top of the line products. the pictures u see is what the room and place look like, except for the beach. We both enjoyed are stay but disapointed with the beach.

“Awesome Hotel Stay”

I spent 4 nights at this hotel at the end of April. I really had a nice time. This resort is very modern. The price is good for what you receive. The service from hotel staff was great. I did not feel like I was unwelcome like at some of the other places in Jamaica. It is a short ride from the airport. If you leave the resort, the grounds are maintained well on the outside as well. The beach is nice. It is not the clearest water in the Caribbean, but blue enough. The lazy river pool is wonderful. You can get on a donut tube thing and relax all day. If you are lucky, depending on when you go, you can enjoy a nice cabana by the pool. The waiters will bring you food and drink. The all inclusive is definitely worth the money. The food is some of the best all inclusive food I have had in the Caribbean for a hotel in this price range. The drinks were good. The hotel has beautiful views for pictures overlooking the water. The rooms have flat screen TV's and they are Clean and modern. This place is definitely a Thumbs UP!

“Rose Hall - great for kids & adults”

Rose Hall Resort & Spa, A Hilton Resort

5 of 5 stars

I was there with fairly large group that travels together every year. This is the ONLY place we have ever been where there were NO complaints. We will certainly visit Rose Hall again - with or without the group!

Everyone raved about the food - best of any all inclusive we have ever been to and among the best overall. All the kids loved the pool/water park and I found it quite enjoyable myself.

The lobby and grounds are great; the rooms are well maintained and very nice, but not the kind of room you would enjoy lounging in all day - if you want to stay in side and lounge you should not be in Jamaica anyway. What sets this property apart from the others are the people. Virtyally every employee fromt the GM to the gentleman that cleaned up the kids' spills in the restaurant were charming, friendly and truly eager to please. As a bellman I got to know told me, "without you guys, we are out of work". We spent the week before at the Four Seasons in Punta Mita (which was spectacular) and I would put the service at Rose Hall at the same level.

This hotel and its management (and their spouses) are also very involved in the local community. They don't advertise it, but they do wonderful job of using a few of our vacation dollars to educate and care for some of the poorest and most needy among us. I add this because it made me feel good about being in Jamaica and provided me the catalyst I needed to start my own charitable organization to help the needy.

“Definitely worth a visit !!”

I will be very brief in my assessment and try and touch on a number of issues :

First off, is this the most luxurious place that you will ever stay at ? NO!!! Is this one of the best "bangs for your buck that you will ever get" on vacation, yet still be staying at an EXCELLENT place ? Without a doubt !!!

The resort is close to the Montego Bay airport (20 mins. max), the guest rooms were recently renovated and are quite nice (one warning, i found the new mattresses to be too soft --- Pillowtop. Maybe you will not have the same feeling)

The food----definitely do the all-inclusive. The food and its varied selection at the buffet will meet everyone's needs and if you should tire of going to the same place, you can go to one of their other restaurants on-site that is a regular waiter sit down restaurant.

Staff---friendly. As said previously by others, they don't look for tips but they appreciate them and you will be rewarded in return.

Drinks-- non-stop (and included in price) if your pleasure is to drink and drink on your vacation.

Pool area-- nicely done, and there is the "lazy" river also. The lazy river is not big but it is a nice addition rather than having just a pool. There is also a nice water slide that the kids and adults will get a kick out of.

GOLF--- a great course on-site. The back nine goes up into the mountains. If you are a golfer........PLAY IT ! It's called Cinammon Hills.

Speaking of the back nine.....there is a 7AM POWER WALK every morning that goes up into the hills on the back 9 and then down.
If you are in shape at all, DO IT.....great workout.

To summarize, do not hesitate to go to this resort.
