This is a condo setting, for total relaxation. Not the busy hotel setting. We were there Mon and Tues, our building was empty, not a problem for us we like quite and intimate time. We stayed at the Playa Dorada building. It was absolutly wonderfull. At night we walk to the casino at the Four Points Sheraton. It was busy. The beach was clean, be aware of four foot waves, lots of fun for the thrill seekeers. We rented a golf cart and it was fun. Tour the whole property, palmas del mar is like a dream place....

We stayed with our 3 kids, ages 10,11,13 at the Villas at palmas in Humacao. We rented a car from the San Juan air port. The freeways were a little confusing and the signs are in Spanish, but we had a navigation system that saved us. I thought we were staying in a hotel setting, but it is condo's. They were very well kept and large. I loved having a full kitchen and a washer/dryer. We went for the garden view, but had a great ocean view anyway. The grounds are gorgeous. There are several restaurants inside Palmas Del Mar, most of them a little pricey, but very good. The ocean was pretty, but they have an undercurrent that you need to be careful of. We loved visiting the El Yunque rain forest and the fort in El Moro as well as San Juan.

upon arriving in PR i was uneasy because i had read so many different
things and wasn't clear what i was getting into. So we arrived in pr and drove about 2+ hours to get to humacao, Palmas del mar it was very heavy traffic and the people on the road was horrible. anyhow when we arrived at palmas del mar we were very satisfied!! it is a beautiful resort with about 44 different communities. The villas at palmas is actually a collection of 1,2,3 bedroom villas located in about 6-7 of the communities. I thought it was one hotel/community but it isnt. we were assigned to the crescent beach community which was beautiful. we had a 2 bedroom suite overlooking the ocean and pool. the suite was georgeous, complete full stocked kitchen, very modern living room, dining area master suite 2 bathrooms, there was three pools and a jacuzzi and was right on the beach, there were tons
of golf carts zooming around, but we rented a car for the week. marina was nice, equestrian center was great, this resort was what i wanted!! no nightlife!! it is for a relaxing vacation, nothing to do during the night, which was ok with me!! i inquired about the beach club, but was told i had to be a member, theres a supermarket in the resort(pretty pricey), but if you have a car theres a supermarket right outside the resort. walmart is a short drive away where there is also a jcpenneys and other shopping.

We were quite pleased with the beach villa at Palmas Del Mar. We were in a 1 bedroom 2 bath villa right on the beach, not 50 feet from the ocean. The service was nice the people were very friendly and helpful in finding us things to do. Everything in the villa worked fine and we even had a washer and dryer. We hope to return next year with the whole family. No regrets.
