My family and I traveled to Oahu for the first time a few weeks ago, and while trying to plan our trip we found choosing where to stay to be a very daunting task. We found a deal for the Resortquest Waikiki Beach Hotel from Travelzoo.com. After reading reviews from others on tripadvisor.com, we decided to book.

I must say my experience at this hotel was excellent. The room we had was very large and comfortable. We decided not to spring for an ocean view room as we knew we wouldn't spend much time in the room. The beds were by far the best thing about the room. They were soooooo comfortable, I had an excellent restful sleep every night, which prepared me for all the activities we had packing into the day. The room was clean and nicely decorated, without feeling tacky. There was an enormous flat screen tv, which played Hawaii TV, which my family and I really enjoyed while in the room. The only negatives I would have about the room is that our bathroom could have been cleaner, and we did have a number of issues with our keys being deactivated. However, these are minor issues and the staff was very helpful when dealing with them. There is also a cost for internet access in your room however WiFi is free around the pool.

The other major benefits to this hotel are its location and its amenities. The hotel is literally right across from Waikiki Beach, which cant be beat because there is no long trek to and from the beach. In fact, we never even went in the pool because the beach was so close! Also, the hotel restaurant, Tiki's had delicious food and drinks, friendly staff and was very reasonable. Also, the bottom level of the hotel has a conveniently located Wolfgang Puck Express and Cold Stone Creamery, both of which my family and I enjoyed and an ABC store around the corner.

Lastly, I couldn't have more positive things to say about the staff. The front desk and housekeeping were always pleasant. We loved chatting with Dale at the poolside, we found Stacey at the Expedia desk very helpful when booking our rental car. Most of all, we couldn't say more about the Eric, the musician and the Hula dancer who accompanies him every morning at breakfast. The music and the dancing was a wonderful way to start everyday. The last day they even played a goodbye song to my family and I because we had become such fans and they taught us how to hula! The breakfast had a lot of variety and saved us alot of money on food!

We fell in love with Hawaii and when we return it will certainly be to stay at the Resortquest Waikiki Beach Hotel! Mahalo! Mahalo! Mahalo!

After two and a half months of touring China, Europe and the Mid West USA we were exhausted and really looking forward to the last leg of our round the world trip.
We were not disappointed. The Hotel staff, amenities and rooms were great. Excellent service. Compared to London and Paris the room was enormous.
Breakfast was a little strange ( as in the hot food offered) guess it was an american thing.
Hawaii is a beautiful place to unwind and relax, this Hotel let you do that.
We liked it so much we will be returning August 2009 with the rest of the family.

We just spent 8 nights at the Resortquest Waikiki Hotel in Honolulu and enjoyed every minute of it. Upon arrival, we were checked into a room with two beds with an ocean view. As it was just the two of us, we called Front Desk to request a King bed, and was promptly moved, even tho' it was late in the evening. They provide you with individual cooler bags in your room to pick up your free breakfast in the morning, to enjoy poolside with the live music & hula dancer, or to take to the beach to eat. The Hotel conveniently located just across the street from the beach, while others are several blocks away. It's close to the Zoo & the Aquarium. We had an amazing time and the people were fantastic! Thanks for making our dream trip a reality!

Perfect location, just across the street from Waikiki Beach, and right in the middle of the shopping, restaurants and activities in Waikiki. Although the room was probably smaller than most hotels I've stayed in, if you're looking for a really comfortable bed, lots of clean towels and an incredible ocean view, this is a great hotel. The breakfast wasn't your typical continental breakfast, there was always fruit, yogurt and an assortment of hot dishes, and everyday there were different dishes.
