“family getaway”

Hacienda El Jibarito

Jan 14, 2008

We visited with the children and we all had a great time. The view is beatiful, the employees were very kind and always glad to interact with the children. My mother loved the setting of the cabins and the privacy each had. I recomended it to any one that is looking for a place to relax and enjoy a quiet vacation with or without the family.

Definitely this is not a hotel for seasoned travelers that the least of his demands is excellent service.

In short I had problems with the following:

1. Keys to our room were handed late.
2. The only car for tours was broken down.
3. Horse Rides are arbitrarily available. In my stay there were not available. Only on weekends.
4. The water in the rooms had a very brownish look.
5. No food available in the whole hotel after 8pm. (take into account that this place is considerably far from the
6. They have problems cleaning their rooms after previous guests come out.

What I like is that there is free Internet in the rooms! :)
I leave you now because its late and I am going to sleep with an empty stomach.

“very relaxing”

Hacienda El Jibarito

Dec 26, 2007

Beautiful and peaceful. Very relaxing and a sense of well being
comes over you. The food at the restaurant is very good at a
good price. The staff is anxious to be of service and try very
hard to make your stay enjoyable. The one thing we hated was
the so called cont'l. breakfast which was not fit for human
consumption. The hotel should look into this as soon as possible.
If anyone recommends the nearby restaurant EL CONUCO DE CUCA
STAY AWAY...........the owner is very, very nasty, the place is dirty,
no parking and the food is substandard. Don't let this restaurant
spoil your stay at the Jibarito.

“Honeymoon at Hacienda El Jibarito”

I stayed at this hotel with my husband for part of our honeymoon, and we liked it better than the Four Points Sheraton we had been staying at. The views are gorgeous and the place is very relaxing. If you are looking for excitement and lots of activities, this is not for you. But it was perfect for our little romantic getaway. The only thing was that the indoor pool was not heated, so it was cold all the time and we couldn't get in it. In conclusion, a great place to just relax and have the best cup of coffee you'll ever have.

“Wonderful Getaway but manage the music please”

Hacienda El Jibarito

Nov 1, 2007

The hacienda el Jibarito is really a beautiful spot. In the hills of western PR. I enjoyed my 4 days there very much. I am a model and El Jibarito was recommended to me by a friend when I mentioned I needed to getaway from the hustle of NY.

I flew in through Spirit to Aguadilla and it was a 35 minute drive in my rental through very picturesque country. The staff was very friendly, the room had a very nice view, and was clean (my main concern when I travel), and the temp was nice and warm during the day and nice and cool in the evening.

The place has a country side feel to it which is just what I was looking for. Lovely vistas in all directions added to the atmosphere. Jibarito has a very nice pool, like a sandy beach entrance, which I loved. The pool area is nice and has an open air bar which was nice. The only negative was the loud music constantly blaring.

The loudness of the music just doesn't fit the rest of the atmosphere there. It was so very out of place. I mean, if they want to have like a Friday night party and bring in a DJ, that would be fine, or maybe for a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon, but this was constantly while I was there.

Their restaurant is excellent. I had the Churrasco, and it was perfect. In the evenings I could hear the famous coqui. The tiny little frog that lives in the trees in the forests and mountains in PR, they were a pleasant distraction after the music.

What I loved most was the atmosphere there, the staff was super. Most of the time you have to call twice for any kind of room service, but hey, it's the islands so I was in no hurry while there.

I was only recognized once while there and very discretely, so that was wonderful to really detach and just getaway.

I actually meant 2 very nice guys while there, one is a staff member and another was a guest, a businessman from Miami and hooked up with both of them. So girls it is possible even in the middle of nowhere. I absolutely loved this place and will return.
