Checked in Saturday- very long lines to park the car, long lines to check in. Got to the room and it was awful. The carpet was stained, there were burn holes and there was a pull in it so big you could catch your foot in it. The desk was warped like it had been held under water and the rest of the furniture was not much better. The bathroom is tiny and exactly the same as a cheap motel- right down to the plastic cups. There was nothing nice about the mattress and there was a stain on the sofa. Called the front desk and was told that this was what you get when you stay at an older hotel. I have been a hotel manager for 15 years and was shocked at the attitude I received. I asked for a chance to try another room as we had reservations at the Sun Dial and had a special night planned. They gave us another room off of the other elevators. I was sure that we were moving to a better, remodeled section. Unfortunatley for us, the room was the same. Stained and warn and sad. We checked out and cancelled our dinner plans. We were met with indifference everywhere. We sent a complaint to the hotel website and was told we would receive a resonse in 48 hrs. After 48 hours we called to see why we got no response and were given a complaint number and told to wait 5 more days. This is NOT what I expected from a Westin. They desperately need to remodel because the views are gorgeous and the location is great. Everything else has got to go!!

I stayed here in while attending AmericasMart. The location couldn't be beat. The room was tired, the price was high at $325/night and room service took over 1 hour. You would think they would be prepared and experienced for big scheduled crowds. Not so.
I will look elsewhere when I attend next year.

I stayed at the Westin for a convention earlier this month.
In comparison to other Westins that I have stayed at, this was just ok. The lobby was nice and the service was great. The Sundial bar was great as well.

The heavenly bed was fine, but the heavenly bath was a ittle worn. There were loose and missing tiles. My biggest complaint however is that it was a very loud room. I could hear my neighbors throughout the stay. Overall it was fine, just not quite what I expected.

We stayed here for a convention during Jan 18 - 20th 2008. The place was great, the room was comfortable and luxury, maid service on time...shower was super and the water pressure was perfect, we did not use the room service because of all the popular resturant with-in walking distance, breakfast buffet was a little under staffed and over priced. Our room was on the 39th floor and it had a great view. The plaza was very very roomy with a starbucks and a lobby bar. Over all its the perfect place for a convention...we are thinking of returning just for a getaway weekend and taking in the Georgia Aquarium for the day and just to relax high up on a upper floor room in the heavenly bed ect....
We had a great stay thats why I dont understand about all the negative reviews...oh well it was a perfect time in our books and we do travel a bit....
