“The Frat Pack”

Sheraton New Orleans Hotel

1 of 5 stars
Brooklyn

Don't make this mistake. This is a frat party hotel. You'll be trapped in the elevator with sweaty, beer-soaked rowdies, be woken at 4:00 a. m. by wild parties, and then kept awake by the slamming doors of the returning revelers. The rooms are small and brown, predominately stained, and marginally redeemed by the river view. The hotel is understaffed, you'll face lines whenever you want to talk to one of the bitter and clueless staff. Stay at the Westin instead.

“No management in sight”

Sheraton New Orleans Hotel

May 25, 2008

There appeared to be no management in sight. I had several problems during two recent business trip and there appeared to be no one available to solve my problem. So much for Starwood Preferred service. Amazingly the head bell hop stepped in to solve my room issue.

Long lines for check in, kids (and adults) runnign around the lobby. I had to change rooms 3 times to get the view I paid for. Don't bother to pay the upgrade for club level ... cheese and lemonade and surly service. One staff member actually scolded my husband for using a coffee mug and suggested he use the paper cup instead. People banging on doors in the midddle of the nught. The location is convenient but the service poor in the hotel. Very disappointing!

“You warned me..”

Sheraton New Orleans Hotel

2 of 5 stars
Clearwater Florida
May 24, 2008

Consistent with other reviews, also stayed here for conference. Had no choice in the matter. I'd never book this unless I wanted to stay on the strip and "party" and didn't care about the hotel.

The hotel is sub-par for the money and dont expect any southern "hospitality".

Noise: The walls are VERY thin., be prepared to get cozy with your neighbors. The on-going party noise can be heard everywhere which made getting ready for my presentations and our banquet a mess.

Cleaniness: rooms/hallways just ok, conference and lobby bathrooms consisitently dirty (you guys will understand what I mean when I say the floors were bad)

Food: Don't care much for seafood, but that was all that was offered and others in our lg conference said food it was terrible. Spent the first night eating a subway sandwich & glad I brought granola bars with me.

You won't get what you pay for, watch you bill, don't expect much and you wont be disappointed. .

“Hated It, Every minute of it!”

I'm a Starwood Preferred guest member and I'm very disappointed at my stay at this hotel.

For starters, the Valet parking is quite expensive but the only option if you stay at this hotel. Valet parking is $26.95+ tax which brings the total to $30.

The gym is not free either. It's $10 a day, I'd just rather I walked around the French Quarter to get my work-out in.

Which brings me to my next point, the "Hot Water". After dinner my son and I got a late workout in at 11:30 through 12:30. When we came back to the room to grab a shower, there was no Hot Water!

We called the front desk and we got " The hotel had to pick a day to be without hot water, so they picked Wednesday". We were supposed to be notified by a letter in the room and when we checked in but we did not recieve any notification at all.

We contacted hotel management and they were very poor in resolving our problems.

Oh, I almost forgot, I booked a room with 2 double beds and one of the Comforters had some "Love" stains all over it. Again, we called Hotel management and the "manager" was conviently busy.

Piss Poor service, Piss poor front desk personnel and horrible "Nickel and Dime" charges ($10 workout, $30 workout, $10 internet(I can live with)).

I would not recommend this hotel stay to anyone. I booked this room as a SPG but I received better treatment at the "Motel 6".

“Loved it!”

Sheraton New Orleans Hotel

May 12, 2008

We stayed at the Sheraton New Orleans over Spring Break. Our room was wonderful (although the view was horrible) and very comfortable. Room service was outstanding with prompt service and attentiveness. Starbucks in the lobby was very welcome. Short walk to Harrah's casino. If you want a hotel within walkind distance to the quarter, this hotel is not for you. .. Short drive

overall a great hotel for the money!!!!
