I was here at this Best Western this weekend. It continues to be one of my favorite hotels in Philadelphia. Clerks allowed me to check in early. Housekeeping was extremely prompt in putting new batteries in remote. Very quiet, nice location, not too far from airport, very nice taxi stand!

Maybe other people have had a better experience but I think this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was non-smoking but still smelled like smoke. When I pulled back the covers there was a hair on the sheets AND in the bathroom trash can there was a q-tip - even if it was a clean one, I wouldn't want to know! Gross and kind of sketchy - ESPECIALLY for the price.

Me and my husband got to the hotel and the woman who checked us in was very helpful. We walk up to our room along the way saying hello to the house keeping and they all just looked at us with this "snot" attitude. Okay, their just having a bad day we thought. We went to lunch at their Sports Bar and the waitress was very nice. Food had no complaints. I went to take a shower and notice that there was used soap still in the tub and a couple of the empty bottles of the shampoo. Thats when I started noticing everything else wrong with the room. Rooms were clearly not vacuumed and there was dubree and other peoples small belongings, such as a key and a lighter, hiding under the media center. The only thing the house keepers could of possibly done in our room was place fresh towells in the bathroom and make the bed. It was okay for the one night we were staying in Philidelphia. Any longer and we would have paid the extra money to stay at the Sheraton down the street. This hotel...NOT WORTH IT.

This hotel was selected by a reservation group that handled our conference. It is a real dump. NO HEAT. We tried turning the heater on and it sounded as if the entire building was on the verge of collapse. When we called customer service we were told they were "working on it". It's going on 8:00 and we are still wearing layers of sweaters and scarves. The bathroom door was warped and would not close. You can see through the sheets. I was afraid to ride the elevator, as it looked like something out of a horror flick. The lock on the room doors are the size of lunch boxes. I've never seen anything like it. The staff were nice but turned rude when we asked if they would be able to fix the heat or if we could possibly receive a discount. This is the worst place that I have ever experienced. Save your money...it is a real dump and needs major renovations. One side of the hotel looks as if it is being bulldozed. The windows are knocked out and it looks vacant. I will leave a note for the manager, as this is unacceptable for $110 a night. I would have paid more just to be able to take my scarf off. The pictures on their website were probably taken 20+ years ago. Save yourself the agony.
