Thanks to all the TripAdvisor.com positive reviews, we stayed at the Best Western Independence Park Hotel!

Everything you guys said was oh so true! Great service, spacious & clean room (Hey! I need lots of room for so many cosmetics--so the roominess ROCKED!))

Perfect location in Historic Philadelphia! While I was going to conference meetings, my husband had a blast touring all of the historic landmarks. He's still telling me Ben Franklin stories!

Also perfect location for all sorts of restaurants and taverns within walking distance.

Nice breakfast, as well as tea & splendid cookies in the afternoon.

This hotel was a bit pricier than the conference hotels (closer to the Convention Center), but honestly, the historic charm and great service was worth it!

“great location”

Best Western Independence Park Hotel

My family and I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The rooms
are average and they could be cleaner (couldn't every hotel
bathroom be cleaner?) but, the room was big enough,
clean enough and the staff more than made up anything else.
The front desk staff was very helpful. The location is within
walking distance of almost everything, and we have an 8yr
old - we walked everywhere. I would stay here again.

“This is a Great Place”

I loved this place. From the time I called to make my reservation, I couldn't wait to stay in this Hotel. When I called it was a little after midnight and I spoked with Latanya. She was very helpful on how I could get tickets to see the liberty bell. She also made me a dinner reservation at Buddakan ( after I tryed to make them myself and couldn't get one) she did. The food was great. When I checked in I was greeted by Chris and was wonderful. Give me many things to do and see. And I too did everything he said to do.
With the two of them working at this hotel I would come back again if I'm in town just because they're the most helpful people in a city that you know about. But don't really know where and what too do.

“Wow !!!!!!!!!!!!”

Best Western Independence Park Hotel

Wow... You could not ask for a better hotel in Philly. Located in the heart of the historic district and within walking distance of 30 restaurants and sites. I was feeling pretty confident after reading all the reviews on here but I had NO idea how awesome this hotel would be. Mostly in part because of the wonderful staff. Chris (Whom we decided to take a picture of just for this review)
Yes the rooms are dated, Ummmm this is a historic hotel DUH to the previous reviewer. Dated in a historic way not outdated way. The rooms were clean and comfortable, Bathrooms very large, hotel was full but quiet and comfy. Wine and Cheese available on Wed afternoons, all other evenings cookies and tea.. :o) Breakfast was great!! I have also put a picture of the waffle that you make yourself. They imprint the Liberty Bell on them. My husband was particulary amused. Now to Chris. Wow I would have hired him in a heartbeat to work for me if he would move. Very smart, friendly, passionate about History and extraordinary front desk agent. He recommended several things to us, which we did them all) and we were very pleased everytime. If you go there LISTEN to him!! Overall, great stay, rates were reasonable and worth so much more. If you are wondering whether to book now or wait.. Book now, they only have about 30 rooms and they sell out fast. This place is no longer a secret!

“Charming Hotel”

Best Western Independence Park Hotel

This is a charming hotel located in a very convenient location that is very close to independence park and to a large variety of restaurants. The building itself is on the historical register and the charm is evident from the moment you walk-in to the hotel. I have never seen ceilings this high in a hotel room ! On the flip-side they do keep the lighting very dim; hence, do not plan on reading after 7PM. Aside from this the room had good modern amenities (internet, AC, bathroom, etc). The continental breakfast was excellent and well organized. They also have evening cookies for the guests. However, plan on spending about $18 for parking at the garage which is located a block away. This is pretty normal given the location.

I would strongly recommend the hotel, and would stay here again given the opportunity.
