“Excellent Experience”

Great location, nice room, typical Residence Inn layout. We stayed in a corner room on the 18th floor ... we had 5 windows! Comfy beds, flat screen TV, nice bath products, relaxing rain-like shower head. Excellent buffet breakfast. Helpful front desk staff ... especially Heather. It was an easy shortcut to cut thru City Hall to/from hotel. Nice central location. Would definitely stay at this property again.

“Good value; great location.”

Great location; right across the street from city hall. If you can get a government or AAA rate, the price is good, too. Breakfast is included, and you can even eat supper for free, at their "evening snack bar". (Though it isn't really...um...good.) Rooms are bigger than you'd think for a downtown hotel. I'd go back.

“Best Bed of all Philadelphia Hotels!”

I have to say, when I first opened the door I was a little disappointed with the size of the room. Typical RI with a kitchen, living room, etc.. however the best part was when I laid down in bed. It was the most comfortable bed and bedding that I have experienced in quite awhile, even better than a WESTIN!

We planned a last minute trip to Philly for the weekend, traveling w/3 small children. We booked the room via marriott website and got an amazing rate of $116 per night for a small suite -living room w/decent kitchen, desk and a double pull out couch-bedroom had a comfy king size bed, desk and closet area w/sink and separate bathroom area. Wow!! All that and it included a really great breakfast. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, yogurts, cereals, etc and make your own belgian waffles. Everything was fully stocked and refilled as necessary. The breakfast staff was really friendly and helpful. There was a small indoor pool, fitness center as well. This hotel is centrally located to Walnut St. shopping, Franklin Institute, Liberty Bell etc.
Only negative thing about the entire stay is the car situation. We drove there and had them park our car-$40 per day. Wouldn't have been bad, but it took over an hour to get our car upon check out on Sunday. A bit of advise-get them early before 9:00 if you need to check out in a hurry.
All in all, for the money this was AWESOME place for families wanting to visit Downtown Philly.

Stayed for 3 nights whilst attending a conference in the nearby 'full service' Marriott. Selected the hotel because the rate was the best out of the 'full service' Marriott and the Marriott Courtyard. All these 3 hotels are in basically adjacent to each other.

Its a standard Residence Inn so rooms have kitchenettes, etc. My room was large (especially for a town center), clean and comfortable. Broadband worked perfectly and was free.

The basement has a good gym/pool area. The gym is sufficiently large and spacious and has a glass wall to the pool. It has two cross/elliptical trainers, two bikes and two joggers and some basic free weights. All in good working order. In fact the whole gym pool area seemed light and spacious.

The work on the lobby area (which they pre-advertised) seemed to be more-or-less over and, yes, it is a pain to have to insert your room key to use the elevator but this is a downtown location so that is entirely sensible and expected.

I'd have no problem staying there again and would even potentially chose it over the Courtyard.
