My first impression of the Sheraton Suites was favorable when I called the hotel and requested a shuttle from the airport. “What terminal are you in?” the operator asked. I hadn’t a clue- I was standing outside the terminal inhaling exhaust gases and second-hand smoke. “I can help you with that”, she said. “What airline?” I told her, she told me I was in terminal C and the van arrived about 10 minutes later.
I really did have a suite- a little dark since it was heavy on navy blue, but freshly remodeled, and very roomy. I immediately set up shop in the desk area and almost felt bad that my husband wasn’t with me- this was an ideal setup for one person to work and another to lounge in the sleeping area, although the biggest plasma-screen TV was in the work area. The bathroom and a door are in between, allowing privacy and insulation from noise if needed. I liked the citrus-scented soap provided in the bathroom and the Starbucks coffee for the coffeemaker.
Clearly this was an older property- there was a crack in the bathroom sink and there were stains on the white bathroom tiles. (Permanent stains- not a problem with inadequate cleaning.) But the remodelled areas made it feel fresh, and replacing every stained tile and imperfect sink would have just added to the room rate. One out of the 3 elevators was out of commission the whole 2 days I was there (Thursday/Friday) but the elevators were pretty prompt so it wasn't a problem.
Pool on the smallish side but otherwise nice, with an outdoor view. Fitness center had 2 of each of the usual pieces of equipment.
I was there for a meeting and the meals they catered were fine. Wi-Fi was reliable and user-friendly and available in meeting rooms as well as guest rooms.
They could use an on-site gift/snack shop- there's nothing nearby and if you get the munchies your choices are the minibar, the restaurant or room service.
I was perfectly happy with this hotel and would use it again if I needed to be near the airport.

We are very happy to announce that our renovations are complete. We are excited with the addition of the LINKS--Sheraton's free high- tech center for our guests usage. It surely helps the guest to stay connected while away from loved ones and the office. We are proud to announce the opening of Relish-- the first of its kind gourmet burger restaurant-in the begining of May 2008. We welcome our guests to expereince Relish and give us feedback. When you stay with us you are not a confirmation number--you truly BELONG. We look forward to future vists to our newly renovated expereince that we offer here at the Sheraton Suites Philadelphia Airport.
