We booked this hotel via PriceLine bidding and we paid 235.70 in total for 2 nights which seems to be a good deal.
I was really looking forward to this hotel but overall I can say... for this bidding-money you'd probably get more value.
The Loews is known as good quality hotel and altough it's not that bed the hotels I stayed at during my holiday (Intercontinental, Marriot, Renaissance) are much much better and cleaner than this one.
We checking in and they wanted us to use VALET parking but we found out there is a nearby parking garage (near 10 street) which is much cheaper. They gave us room 2301 which is on a high floor. They actually gave us a KING bed which they don't need to give if you book via Priceline.
If we wanted a higher floor we could pay extra for the 28th floor or have Queen beds on the 25th.
So we decided to take 2301.
The bad thing about this room is that's not even in the corridor where there is carpet on the floor. So it's very noisy and just opposit of where the employees have their brakes.
The view is excellent but I would advise you to go to the 33rd floor, EVEN if you not staying in this hotel. You can get a great view for FREE !
Worst thing about this hotel is the POOL.
They charge you 10 dollar per person per day to use it.
This is ridiculous. I never had one hotel in my life where they asked extra $$$ for pool-usage.
I complained because it was not stated on the website nor in the directory. Finally they waived the fee but don't expect much of the pool. It's probably expensive because you can use the fitness area as well.
I was really dissapointed by this. Still can't believe that a hotel like the Loews charges their guest for the pool.
If you're a club member it's for free so I signed up just a day before I checked in but they refused because I didn't book directly via the hotel !
Unbelievable.
