Business serviceWe paid only $133 per night for a "renovated view room" and were in a corner room on the 27th floor which offered really amazing views in three directions. For the price we paid, I would definitely return to this hotel even though I much prefer a more boutique, stylish feel to a hotel.
Upon checking in, we found out that parking was $45 plus tax per night (more than a third of our nightly rate!) so we parked down the road at a parking garage for $20 flat per night. The lobby is fine, though very bland...reminds me of a typical business hotel. Everyone was very courteous and business like. At the front desk, I requested a corner room due to previous reviews of such rooms being larger, and the woman was very helpful in pulling a high floor for me and reserving it even though it had yet to be cleaned.
Later when we were able to get our keys, we walked into the room and it felt more like a suite. Upon walking in there is a small room without furniture and a very large bay window. To the left around the corner is the large bathroom, next is the closet, and then beyond is the bedroom with a bay window at the end of the room and a very large bay window over the desk. There were views in every direction. From one window you could see the transamerica building, from another you could see the very top of the golden gate bridge, and from the other you could see the southern part of the SF bay.
The room itself had been renovated nicely, though it felt very corporate. Still, the bed was very comfortable and the furnishings were fine. They advertised a plasma tv in the room, but it was a standard box tv (not that we cared much).
The bathroom was spacious with good amenities by lather, and the shower had excellent water pressure.
Room service was very good, quick, and reasonably priced. We ordered both dinner and breakfast on occasion and it was presented very nicely and was delicious.
The location is incredibly convenient. Literally a block from both the subway (Muni and Bart) and the Powell Street cable car.
The walls of the hotel also seemed to be very thick because when in our room, we felt like we were in a sanctuary, unable to hear anything or anyone else other than ourselves.
If you like the chain-type hotels, you will surely love this one. But even if you like the more stylish independent boutique hotels, you may find that the value and comfort at this hotel is more than satisfactory.
I would definitely return.
The only downside that I could find was that the gym was being remodeled and there were only three treadmills that had been stuffed inside a very small room on the second floor. They did, however, offer a free pass to a gym a few blocks away, but neither my partner nor I wanted to hike our stuff up there and back. I didn't care about this at all, and my partner was only slightly peeved, but if you're a big workout person, you should probably know this.

Business serviceStayed here for 3 nights on business. I did not choose the hotel, and likely wouldn't have simply because while I love the neighborhood, the Hilton where I have points is right across the street. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised with how enjoyable my stay was.
The exterior and lobby harken back a few decades and seem somewhat dated. My room had been recently renovated and was spotless with nice furnishings, including a couch and coffee table. Only problem is that with the new multimedia panel built into the dresser under the 40" HDTV, there is very little in the way of drawer storage. I had to use the drawers in the two night stands - something I've never had to do before. As I'd read other reviews that indicated noise was an issue (I had absoluetly no problems during my stay), I found it interesting that the bathroom amenities included a pair of ear plugs!
Staff were friendly and helpful. I found the breakfast buffet to be over-priced for what it was - even in SF - but the coffee was delicious and the service outstanding.
Best part about this hotel is the location. Assuming you want to be in the Union Square area, it can't be beat for convenience to all transportation and shopping.

Business serviceEvery single staff member we spoke with at Parc 55 were incredibly RUDE and unaccomodating. I was shocked at their behavior. In addition, the rooms were not clean, and are in need of renovation/refurbishing. I am a travel agent, so believe me when I say DO NOT stay at this hotel. You can find a much better SF hotel for the price (or less!) of a stay here, and you will avoid a very unpleasant experience.

Business serviceWe stayed here on the 20th and 21st April 2008. The Parc 55 is a large hotel, the room we booked was clean and tidy, maybe slightly on the small size but it was fine. We booked a Club room which are on the higher floors and have fantastic views either over looking the bay or the city. The complimentary breakfast was fine and also the afternoon refreshments in the executive lounge were a nice touch, we obviously received this as we had upgraded to a club room.
The hotel is just off Union Square near to all the shops and the hotel provided a good location for our final 2 nights in San Francisco before flying home. As I understand the hotel is going to be refurbished in certain areas in September. I think this is probably a good idea as it could do with this in some places.
