Can we say "Wow?" We stayed here for 2 days on the last leg of our summer trip to Yellowstone, Tetons, and Jackson Hole. We are a family of 3 couples. We stayed on the fourth floor of a 2 bedroom bi-level suite with 3 full baths overlooking the mountains. What a fantastic hotel!!! Tasteful Wild West decor, luxurious accommodations without the astronomical prices (like the ones I saw at the Four Seasons in the same neighborhood.) We may have had a better deal since we had AARP rate.
This place has everything! One of our travellers could only eat certain things, so having a kitchen/eating area, dishwasher, fridge, pots, pans, etc. was a plus for her trip. It also has air conditioning, fans, whirlpool baths, tvs with DVD players.
The staff was very friendly and they treat you like royalty! Beds were so comfortable! Parking is free and plentiful.
Other attractions...
Wildlife viewing...The hotel is a mile away from Teton National Park via a car/minivan only access dirt road. The two times we used this road to go to the hotel we saw both a male and female moose. We also saw a coyote on the road of the hotel.
We heard there was an aerial tram closeby, but wasn't able to try it. Maybe next time. Oh, yeah this place is also very close to a gas station. The cost of gas is more expensive there than getting it in Jackson Hole. So I recommend getting it in Jackson Hole.
I highly recommend this Lodge and would definitely stay here again over somewhere in Jackson Hole, if I had the chance. It far exceeded our expectations.
