Called ahead after reserving on Hotwire to get a non-smoking room - i know it is not guaranteed to get that but i haven't ever had an issue before...I was put in a room that reaked of smoke. Not only that, but we had three members of our party and two rooms and Candlewood Suites did not have a rollaway, and the beds are just double beds. The rooms you get on hotwire are supposed to be "double-occupancy" - well, do you really want to sleep next to co-workers in a bed? They could have upgraded one of our rooms to a suite to avoid all the negativity (the hotel was only 50% booked), but they wanted to charge us for it. Left a terrible taste in my mouth about Candlewood Suites, and even worse smell on my clothes!
