9 Beaches really is a special place. I cannot think of a more perfect location. The Peninsula that the resort sits on has nine beautiful little beaches that allow for you to escape to your own little space. The accommodations were comfortable and very well maintained. As well the staff were extremely friendly, and would go out of their way to accommodate anything that you may need. i certainly would recommend this resort to anyone who enjoys beautiful scenery, with a relaxing atmosphere.

“What a disappointment”

9 Beaches Resort

Lets start with the entrance. We arrived to drive down a long driveway with old army barracks on one side and small cottages on the other. NOthing very welcoming. Also, the way the wind was blowing the neighboring dairy farm's smell was pervasive and permeating. Turns out our room was to be near the dairy farm. I immediately complained and they switched us to another room at the other end of the property.

Basically the hotel is a motel 6 with a great view. You are sleeping in a tent with minimal amenities. The blanket had holes all over it. The towels were like rags, and the cleaning saff didn't even clean the shower or sink every day. It was a real disappointment.

That said, I can now tell my husband tht I went amping with him!

The staff (front desk, concierge, bartenders) were lovely, and really tried. In fact we were out of evening at a local bar watching the Belmont, and the bartender from the hotel bought us a drink!

The food was awful, and quite frankly inedible. Luckily we only had lunch there and went out every night for dinner.

Bermuda is an amazing island. This is NOT the place to stay however. At that end of the island you are completely removed. And while that doesn't have to be a negative, the hotel has to make it so that you dont want to leave. This isn't the case here.

The beaches are ok, but each beach is pretty small, and the swimming isn't great.

Basically this is a hotel is chargin well beyond what they should be for the service and amenities you are getting. They should be charging about $150 per night. And honestly, I'd rather pay double and get what you pay for then be overcharged and be disappointed.

“A great way to do Bermuda!”

I had such a wonderful time. The private beaches are the best way to rest, relax and recharge; such a nice change from the usually crowded Bermuda beaches!

The canvas cabanas are very fun and perfect for our use! We kayaked, snorkeled and explored right from the main beach of the resort. It was beautiful and quiet and really enjoyable. Highly recommended and a great way to see Bermuda, whether you enjoy an active vacation or a private get-a-way.

“I didn't have to bring a dinner jacket”

9 Beaches is a great untraditional "way" to visit Bermuda. Perfect place for active outdoor people to stay. Plenty of activities available. No need to bring your knee high socks or dinner jackets for the evenings. Totally relaxing. The west end of the island is so different from Hamilton. Slower pace, less traffic. I found the entire staff to be very friendly and helpful.

“9 Beaches Biggest Fan”

9 Beaches Resort

Jun 3, 2008

I have just returned from a 10 night stay at 9 Beaches and wanted to tell everyone who is having doubts about booking this resort to go ahead and book it.

I read lots of good and bad reviews about 9 Beaches before I went and was a little worried by the bad ones but having stayed there for a whole 10 days have absolutely nothing bad to say about it. We truly had the most fantastic holiday.

The resort is beautiful the beaches are cute and the water is crystal clear. The cabanas are nothing at all like tents and it is certainly not like camping. We had some very windy weather while we were in Bermuda and I felt safe in the cabana. The cabanas are very clean and ours was cleaned every single day. We stayed in cabana 58 which was perfect with beautiful views of the ocean. I don't think it matters what cabana you stay in as all the cabanas have their own little charm. The shower was powerful and we had hot water throughout our trip.

The staff are so friendly from management down to maintenance people, every single member of staff said hello to us. Sonia on reception could not do enough for us and the bar staff Ray, Jahdal, Daniel and Heian were all fantastic. Puppa is the man to see if you are interested in leaving the resort and seeing the Island, he arranged a brilliant trip for us. Also the people who run the water sports are all very helpful and friendly.

Breakfast was great there was lots of choice at the buffet and if the buffet isn't enough (which it is) there is also a breakfast menu. We ate at both Um Um's and Hi Tide and the food was good. We also had A La Cart deliver a meal to us on the beach which was fun.

Please don't be put off by what you read, I am the fussiest person going, I moan about everything but I cannot moan about 9 Beaches. I can't wait to return, if I didn't have to go to work I would be on that plane tomorrow!
