The room was very nice, new and very well kept. Bathroom was roomy and spa like, new and very clean.
My main reason for booking this hotel was because it was billed as an airport hotel and I had an early flight the next day. The hotel is not that close to the airport, and there is no airporter service on weekends. I stayed on a Friday night for a flight out at 8am on Saturday morning, meaning I had to leave the hotel at about 6am. The hotel did book a cab for me for the morning, but it cost me 20 euro's.
I ordered some room service on the Friday night, the food was ok, but had a hard time ordering, room service did not speak any english, and my spanish is terrible. I did get the fruit plate, and pot of tea as ordered, but the sandwich I got was not even close to the one I had ordered.
The room was comfortable, and the bed was great. There is an included mini bar in the room, but all that is in it is a couple of bottles of water, a bottle of fanta, and a coke. I was not able to take advantage of the free cafe, but it would be a nice perk.
Overall this hotel is ok for the price, but the location is not that good. It is a long way from central Madrid, about a 15 euro cab ride, and is a 20 euro cab ride from the airport. I know the hotel says it is only 1km from the airport, but that must be as the crow flies.
The cab the hotel ordered for me in the moring showed up with 7 euro's already on the meter (common in europe, you pay from when the cab is called). There is a 4.50 euro surcharge for airport service, and the remainder was for the actual ride.
