The jem of Jamaica. Great atmosphere and adorable rooms. The staff was always friendly and the food was amazing. The bartender was so nice and I couldn't of imagined a more amazing view.

Business serviceI can’t say enough amazing things about our experience at Jake’s. The hotel is quirky and charming and unlike any place you will ever visit. The staff – everyone in Treasure Beach, for that matter – is incredibly warm and welcoming. We were instantly made to feel like family and a part of the authentic culture of the community.
As a wonderful surprise, my fiancee proposed to me during our trip to Jake’s and the staff went above and beyond in assisting him with the set-up and decoration, transforming our deck into a wonderland of flowers, champagne and shells. They even set up a private table overlooking the water so we could celebrate our engagement alone with our own waitress, lobster dinner, etc. Divine! The hugs and congratulations we received the next day really speaks to the kindness of the people at Jake’s.
We stayed in Cockles Down and, in our opinion, it’s the best room for the money at the hotel. Being on the end of the property (right near the new spa), Cockles afforded us the outmost in privacy (more privacy that even the honeymoon suites that are right next to each other) and while the room is billed as “oceanview,” it’s really ocean front with our deck jutting out over the rocks. We woke up every morning, flung open the doors and the water was right there. The room also has air conditioning which is a nice little extra. As far as the reported mosquitoes are concerned, perhaps we got lucky but we didn’t consider the place to be particularly buggy. Jake’s provides you with candles and anti-bug lights, although we didn’t even find much need for their use.
The food at Jake’s and Jack Sprat’s is awesome. Considering you’re somewhat of a captive audience, the food is way better than it even needs to be. Enjoy some of Doogie’s rum punches – they’re more like a delicious smoothie and you’ll find yourself ordering one after the other! The prices are reasonable, too.
Activity-wise, get out and explore the area. We did it all and loved every minute. The boat ride out to Pelican Bar is a MUST; we had so much fun at YS Falls and the Appleton Rum Factory and we even made our way to Lover’s Leap one night followed by dinner at Little Ochie (delightfully delicious!) Every driver and boat operator we used was friendly and informative – we had a great time getting to know so many of the different folks affiliated with Jake’s. I also enjoyed one of Shirley’s legendary massages – it was such a unique and authentic healing experience…another MUST.
Jason and his wife Laura (with their adorable baby daughter!)were there lots during our stay and we had a great time getting to know them, having the chance to sit down with them and talk the afternoon away.
One last thing – make sure to ask your driver en route to and from the airport to stop along the way to an authentic jerk shack for some food. Both meals were a great way to both begin and end our trip.
If you’re planning on making your way to Jake’s, I’m so jealous! It’s a fabulous little piece of heaven, which has spoiled us into expecting the same level of warmth, service, charm and authenticity for all other vacations. Enjoy!

Business serviceMy husband and I just returned from Jakes about two weeks ago and I just wanted to say how amazing our experience was. This was our second time at Jake's- we were there five years ago for our honeymoon and could not think of a more fitting place to spend our five year anniversary.
They have an amazing staff and provide such a unique experience for travelers. My husband and I often talk about how important it is to provide "authentic" experiences for seasoned and jaded travelers- 1000 thread count sheets and over the top luxury seem sort of outdated to us- we love to experience things in a genuine way- to us, that is much more luxurious than being spritzed with Evian all day! It's amazing how pampered we feel at Jake's- we have traveled all over and Jake's is simply the real deal. The architecture and interior design are chic yet keep to the true essence of Jamaica- also try the spa treatments- they are fantastic. Had a great facial there.
We have been all over Jamaica and Treasure Beach is the greatest- such good people there and a wonderful vibe. Try a day of fun and sun with Joseph, who will take you out on a boat and feed you lobster and red stripe all day long on a private beach. Pure heaven.
We hope to spend many wonderful weeks at Jake's in the future.

Business serviceMy friend recently got married at Jake's and it was amazing. If you are looking for an affordable, quiet way to experience Jamaica, this is it! The resort is adorable. Each of the rooms was unique and amazing. The staff was all very friendly and the food was very good. I would highly recommend Jake's for a quiet family getaway or for a romanitic vacation. Probably not the place to go with just a small group of friends and the social scene isn't very lively...but if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing trip this is the place. Also, I know many people are scared of Jamaica as it is not the safest place...I had no worries at Jake's!

Business serviceI am a Jamaican who lives in London and was back home for funeral and a short break. As usual i always stay in hotels but never at Jakes. I found the experience to be wonderful (stayed in mussels villa 8) The food is excellent and staff are always attentive and professional.
I have read some of the negative reviews and can only put it down to the tourists are not happy in their lifes and on their holiday are still not totally relaxed!!!
a great destination if your not into the hassle and bussle of negril or mobay and to top it of the locals are very friendly
Big up St Elizabeth
