We stayed in this hotel during a 4 day stay in Dublin. The hotel was new, spotless, well stocked, and close proximity to the tram station. Our standard room was very spacious and the bathroom was huge. The room had awesome included amenities such as flat screen TV’s, nice bedding, and nice lounge chairs. The staff was courteous, prompt, and attentive. The front desk staff always helped with directions with a smile.

Breakfast was good. It had a lot of variety including fresh fruit. The bar had a nice menu. Room service was speedy. We ate the best Caesar Salad I have ever eaten.

All and all we were thrilled and would stay again. It is a good location, nice staff, and fabulous food service. You are far enough away from the city center that you can enjoy the quiet. HOWEVER, do not get a taxi to carry you into the city…it will cost you! Use the tram it is very convenient and speedy

“Great hotel - quite far out of Dublin”

Tower Hotel Dublin

Mar 30, 2008

Stayed here for 4 nights with my partner. If am honest I didn't realise when I booked it how far out of Dublin center it was (45 mins on the LUAS), but that didn't ruin our stay.

The LUAS stop is a couple of minutes walk away from the hotel and there is a Dominos pizza over the road too.

The hotel is lovely - we only piad £50 per night for the room, which was before the gym facilities opened etc.
Really enjoyed it though - the room had a balcony - decor style was all modern.....it was really nice.

If you put this hotel in the center of Dublin it would be €250 per night....
Breakfast here is fantastic, and the breakfast area is really well done, and not too over crowded.

Stay here as long as you know its location!

“Well out of town”

Tower Hotel Dublin

The hotel is at Tallaght - about 40-50 mins out of town on the new Dublin tram (Luas). Very convenient as long as you dont mind the easy travel on the tram which stops about 8 min walk in a fairly desolate area. The area is being developed rapidly but is not the best.
The hotel is new and very clean and well run.
The room I stayed in on the 1st floor (actually requested a high floor - maybe they are more expensive?) was similar to travelodge standard but better. TV, phone, trouser press, tea, coffee room safe etc but no fridge.
Have absolutely no complaints except the price is high for the standard but so are all the hotels in Dublin! The hotel quote 3 star deluxe - I think that is stretching it way too far and at rack rate - most deffinitely!
Very comfortable and clean - too far from city if a short break and wanting night life of Dublin.

“Fresh, modern style and comfort”

Great hotel, facilities and courteousness beyond criticism.

Plenty of free, safe parking. Fantastic value for money.

Location is a good way out of Dublin city centre (was aware before going - research showed LUAS tram nearby). Only thing is, best part of an hour from hotel to city centre. Tram can be packed at rush hour, occasional drunk outside this. So if you are planning on a daytime trip into town as well as a night time one then you need to factor in four hours of commuting.

Had a hire car, so could drive around....only thing is , not a lot to see, perhaps just January for you, no slur on the hotel!
