“Fresh, modern style and comfort”

Tower Hotel Dublin

Jan 25, 2008

Great hotel, facilities and courteousness beyond criticism.

Plenty of free, safe parking. Fantastic value for money.

Location is a good way out of Dublin city centre (was aware before going - research showed LUAS tram nearby). Only thing is, best part of an hour from hotel to city centre. Tram can be packed at rush hour, occasional drunk outside this. So if you are planning on a daytime trip into town as well as a night time one then you need to factor in four hours of commuting.

Had a hire car, so could drive around....only thing is , not a lot to see, perhaps just January for you, no slur on the hotel!

“Great Looking - Bad Service”

Tower Hotel Dublin

Arrived to find a lovely modern hotel and then the nightmare began. Milk in rooms gone off. No bread with soup at dinner then eventually got some n there was no butter. Desserts served at the same time as the main course at a function. Gone off drinks in bar fridge with lables scraped off after we complained. Barman said we could only order "normal" drinks as he wasnt a proper barman. Hair baked into someones dinner n then they were told "sorry but none of the chefs have that colour hair! No ham for sandwiches. Couldnt toast sandwiches for roomservice. Called room at 11.50 to ask us why we were checked out yet when check out time is 12.00. Just loads of little things that made our stay a complete disaster.

“Good, but not if you cannot cope with traffic noise”

Tower Hotel Dublin

Nov 21, 2007

Stylish new hotel in the suburbs of Dublin.

Transport links to Dublin town centre good (LUAS) but does take around 30-40 minutes. When I visited, there were no working pedestrian crossing at the junction outside the hotel, so journey by foot was hazardous

Rooms were clean, breakfasts good and staff friendly and efficient, however electrical faults (lighting)I reported in my room were not fixed before I left.

Some would find noise (virtually non stop) from traffic obtrusive, particularly if you like to leave the windows, or door to balcony open as you sleep to keep room cool

“Well Worth It...!!”

I'm not sure why everyone balks on the location...I took the Luas from City Centre and it took 30 minutes - which beats trying to drive or taking the bus.
The hotel is located near shopping, right off the Luas, and in a fairly quiet neighborhood.
The hotel is VERY modern, very nice and well appointed, and quite a site to behold. My room had a nice little balcony which was cool!
The only thing that stunk was that the last tram from City Centre is at 12:30 - just when the party is getting started!!
The only pain is that when I arrived, the booking that I had made through Expedia had not shown up in their system...
