“Awesome”

My husband and I traveled to many B & B's and The Lexington House was awesome. Great service, wonderful chef, stocked refreshments, clean rooms, beautiful landscape, two pools to cool down in and special touches all over.. They give you typed directions to your local destination, lavendar farms a skip away, many day trips near by to keep you busy. Mike & Ed's special touches made my birthday perfect. (and I'm not so easy to please - ask my husband - LOL) Thank you Ed & Mike!!

“My Perfect Birthday!”

My boyfriend surprised me with a 3 night get-away at the Lexington House for my birthday...and he couldn't have picked a better place! From the moment you arrive you can feel the warmth. The gardens and property are breathtaking, the inn is immaculate, the pool is tranquil, the food is phenominal...but more importantly, our hosts, Ed and Mike, were two of the most accommodating, sincere people I've ever met!! At every turn, they made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Above and beyond. They have thought of eveything, even the little "woops" basket!! :-) We look forward to going back again and again, to experience all of the seasons at this lovely inn. It is without question home away from home, and the most romantic, peaceful time I've ever had!! J&D

“Loved the Gardens”

From the moment you arrive at the Lexington House you feel welcomed and special. The gardens are beautiful and the house tour given by Mike makes you appreciate the history of the house and the special care that is given to each object and the decor of each room.
Attention to detail is given not only in the decor but in the fabulous breakfast that is served each morning. There is always a wonderful choice of things to eat but Ed bakes the best Monkey bread which he will tell you is world Renown !
Our stay at the Lexington House was in celebration of our 28 wedding anniversary and we decided that we would like to spend more anniversaries and weekends getaways at the Lexington House.
If you are traveling to the New Hope area the Lexington House is the perfect place to stay!
We look forward to our next visit.

“Great Anniversary Stay”

The Lexington House

5 of 5 stars

My wife and I stayed here for our 5th Anniversary on a Saturday night in June. After a couple of hours of searching the internet looking for a place to stay, the only place that seemed unique and romantic was the Lexington House. Boy was I right. After driving by some of the other places on our way to the Lexington, it is easy to see why the Lexington is #1 in New Hope.

To keep this short, the house is splendid- well maintained and full of charm. We stayed in the Fowler room. Comfortable bed, nice sized sitting room with a nice size bathroom. Mike and Ed had a bottle of champagne and pink roses waiting for my wife upon our arrival.

In my opinion, even though the house is amazing, better than the house itself was the yard and the pool, especially because our stay was in the summer. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and meticulously maintained so much so that butterflies filled the beautiful gardens.

And, if I were to hit the lotto, I would essentially build the same exact pool they have at the Lexington. A two level pool with a wading area that water falled into a large swimming pool. We spent a large part of our afternoon sipping champagne and relaxing in the pool. When we returned from our evening out, my wife and I sat on bench in the yard to enjoy some wine.

Breakfast in the morning was delicious as well.

The owners, Mike and Ed, went out their way to make our stay relaxing without being obtrusive. You can tell they really care as well enjoy what they do. They really made our anniversary special.

“Perfect 'Girl' Weekend!”

The Lexington House

5 of 5 stars
McLean VA
May 19, 2008

For the past 20 years, two special friends and I have met yearly for a fun 'girl' weekend of shopping, eating, drinking and of course, major talking. This year we were lucky enough to choose The Lexington House for our get-together, and it exceeded all of our expectations.

One thing we've learned over the years is that it's very difficult to find accommodation for three women in one room. The Lexington House actually has two rooms that qualify via a Queen bed and a funny flop-out couch-bed for the third person. Okay, the couch bed wasn't all that comfy, but the top-floor room was bright and breezy, with fresh flowers and pretty furnishings.

The entire house is immaculate, and Mike and Ed have truly thought of every detail to make your stay memorable. The home itself has been beautifully restored, with lovely gardens and a stone pool area (complete with grazing deer. ;) that must be a dream in summer weather. It's an easy 5 minute ride to the center of New Hope where there are some terrific restaurants and unique shops to peruse.

The breakfasts were varied and delicious, served amid gorgeous antiques, and home-made snacks and filled cookie jars were available when you were hit with a snack-attack. Mike even sent us home with baggies of treats for the road!

One other thing we all appreciated was Mike's ability (Ed was out of town) to be helpful and friendly without interfering. I've been to some B&Bs where the proprietors pull up a chair and join the conversation, but I'd rather be chatting with my friends.

All in all a wonderful B&B run by experienced, professional, thoughtful neatniks, who also happen to be great cooks. Does it get any better than that? We'll be baaaaaaack!
