When my husband and I planned our vacation this summer with our two small children to Lancaster County, we chose this hotel because we could use more of our points than at other hotels nearby. Now I know why. Upon pulling up to the hotel, i saw one car. And that number never topped 5 the four days we were there. Although the rooms appeared to be clean, the whole place appeared very outdated and depressing, despite having just been remodeled. In our room, that was "just remodeled", the furniture, carpet, bedding, and fixtures were all circa 1972. The only thing that i could tell was just changed was the wall paper. I could tell because the outlet covers were never put back on! Apparantly the floor was retiled in the bathroom as well, as all of the pipes under the sink were totally exposed and did not appear finished. The carpet was outdated and dirty and the blnket and sheets were old, worn, and stained. Our toilet seat broke and the air conditioner stopped working after the third day. The whole atmosphere of this placed was gloomy and depressing. For what we paid per night, i expected a whole lot better.
I'm not sure if the hotel is the cause of the mysterious illness that we all came down with on our way home, but as we spent the last day of our vacation primarily in our room due to rain, it's the cause in my mind. My children both became so ill with fevers (103-104), vomiting, and diarreah, that they had to go to the pediatrician.
The only nice part of this hotel was the pool.
