Family and I stayed 4 nights. We were greeted by a very friendly employee who seemed happy to serve us and made us feel important. The rooms were very clean and comparable to other motels I have stayed at. They have a free shuttle to and from Cedar Point which is a big plus (saves on the $10 parking fee and traffic congestion). The breakfast was good (coffee, juice, donuts). Overall nice stay and I would stay again.

Horrible condition. The parcel of property is more valuable without the hotel attached to it.
Has not had any capital improvements in over 25 years it appears. Noisy concrete courtyard with chain-link fence. Really low class. For $95 per night it was a rip-off. Breakfast was a joke.
I am disappointed this is part of the Choice Hotel brand. Stay with a better brand. I have stayed in hundreds of places and this is by far the worst. Query: if I were the manager, I would take the position he/she knows the hotel is rundown and may not be able to change that. So why not supply a decent breakfast, quality towels and linens, and go the extra mile to have my guests have an enjoyable experience on what you can control? If you want to be with the big boys, get the big bucks and be near the "World's Greatest Amusement Park" you better have your act together. Again, the property is more valuable than the hotel + property.
You will regret staying here. I stayed for location only. It is 2 miles from the CP maingate, but something farther is better that this!

Picked this based on good price and shuttle availability. Our reservation was mixed up with another party w/same last name, but they cleared that up and got us into a room in the "executive" wing. The room was okay, no significant complaints. However, after spending the day at CP, we returned late to find no housekeeping service. Apparently, we weren't the only ones, as when I complained, the desk clerks just moaned "Another one". They did find someone to come in and do a quick straighten up while we went out for dinner and the kids played at the pool. Overall, it was acceptable, but don't expect the Ritz.

We reserved 3 Rooms at this hotel We Paid for these rooms They told us that our rooms would be ready at 3o'clock So we went and ate came back at 5o'clock to let our 4 little kids rest before we went back to Cedar Point We went and got our keys to our rooms and went to them and they were not touched or cleaned. At this time our 5year olds were needing a nap they wanted us to wait even longer they didn't offer us 3 other rooms that were ready they just said we will have house cleaning come over thats it we got our money back and went to a lot better hotel Colonial Inn just down the road their rates were realy good 89.00 for a king size bed with a heart shaped hot tub They were so nice and the rooms were so clean.
