In this hotel we had an excellent room and can't find fault with it, but the longer we stayed there the more problems arose.
It is a very unatmospheric hotel that seems set up purely for business travellers and not for a luxury relaxation which is what we would expect with a leading hotel and the price we were paying.
The restaurant was a bit uninspiring so we didn't eat there and the breakfast was average but overpriced and also whilst we were having it there were a lot of staff meetings going on and so we kind of got ignored.
During the night we were woken by the room next door playing extremly loud music on their room cd player but it was dealt with very quickly by reception although if the soundproofing isn't good enough the players shouldn't be in the room.
Also, in the morning, the sun hit the room windows and it was a freaky February day that was the middle of a heatwave. Unfortunately, this meant our room was like a sauna (around 35 degrees) and when we asked reception if the air con could be put on they said it wasn't late enough in the year to put it on so I would just have to enjoy the warmth. My wife loves the heat but by 10am she couldn't stand it and we checked out. Reception admitted quite a few people had complained about the heat and so they said 'Sorry' and that was it! I expected more considering what had happened. That is extremely poor customer service.
A very dissapointing stay
