My wife and I recently celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary weekend at Serendipity Bed & Breakfast in Ocean City, NJ. This was our first time staying there. Our experience was delightful in several ways. The casual but charming nature of the decor allowed us to feel very comfortable and at home. The house was very clean and well kept. The front porch, seasonally decorated, was very pleasant to enjoy the morning paper and a cup of coffee. The ability to choose our breakfast time and eat at our own table for two was appreciated and allowed us to socialize with other guests as our option. The food, with a nice variety of options, was delicious and the hospitality of the owner was a perfect combination of friendliness and appropriate respect for privacy. The 24 hour snacks, beverages and video library was a nice touch. The location couldn't be better as we enjoyed the beach, boardwalk and local dining and we didn't have to use our vehicle for the entire weekend. Our room was not overly large, but with a king size bed it was still very comfortable. The adjoining large full private bath was an added bonus, however, the one thing that would have made this review an "excellent" would have been to have a jacuzzi option in the larger suites. This is not a complaint but an observation. We would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone looking for an opportunity to relax and enjoy a peaceful and pleasant time in Ocean City at a very reasonable price. It very well may become a yearly event for us.
