My husband and I were married at the Rhythm of the Sea June 25. One of the first things that attracted us was the clean, open rooms. Not frilly and cluttered like most of the Cape May B&Bs. We rented the entire place from June 23 through the 26th and brought our families in for the weekend. Robyn and Wolf were very accomodating and worked with us to make sure it was memorable. The place was spotless, the robes and towels plush. I don't think enough can be said about Wolf's cooking. The breakfasts were healthy, delicious and filling, and in the afternoon, the cakes and pies were great. Robyn always had a bowl of fresh fruit out also. For our wedding, Wolf cooked for 42 people, everything from the cocktail hour to appetizers, salad, main course and gorgeous (and delicious) wedding cake. There was nothing that didn't go well or taste delicious; our guests loved it. We would recommend Rhythm of the Sea to anyone, for a quiet weekend, for an event or just for the beautiful beach right across the street.

My husband and I stayed here for one night at the end of February. We were searching for a place to stay this summer, since our favorite hotel the Sandpiper Beach Inn (where we stayed for the last 10 years) is under new ownership. We thought that Rhythm of the Sea might be a good alternative for us. The building itself is reasonably clean and furnished with beautiful Stickley furniture throughout, which is a nice change from all the Victorian surroundings in the rest of the town. The owner was very friendly but there were a couple of downsides. When we made our reservation, we requested a particular room (which we prepaid). The owner was kind enough to agree to a one night stay on the weekend (not their usual policy). When we arrived, we were told that the water was not on in the room we wanted and we might be more comfortable in another room. This was not what we expected or wanted, but we accepted the change. The room rates were different (the room we ended up staying in had a lower rate and the difference was not refunded to us). The room we occupied had a lovely view but the windows had old wooden blinds that were quite dilapidated and did not work well. The bathroom was very small and we noticed many small ants (a common problem in Cape May). Overall, the place is nice enough but not so much that we would return.

Wonderfully done from the decor and natural light in the main rooms, to the sumptious robes, linens, and towels. This place stands alone in a town of victorians, unique in style and run by friendly people who are the most professional accomodating hosts I've had the pleasure to meet. The B&B is on the quiet end of the main street, and if you have the opportunity to book the room with the ocean view balcony you should spring for it, it is a treat! The breakfasts are something to linger over in the mornings, dining tables are spaced well-
so you do have the opportunity for privacy if you desire. After touring the town, we realized what a great choice we had made by choosing this B&B over the others on the web for our stay, it is worth it in every way! My husband and I will be staying here whenever we visit family in the area- and hopefully bring them for a great vacation in the future.

We stayed at Rhythm of the Sea last year. We were lucky enough to get room one which has a balcony and ocean view. The home was absolutely beautiful and the staff were welcoming. You can truly listen to the sea as you watch the sun rise from your room or the porch.
