My husband and I are both from Hawaii and we tremendously enjoyed our 5 days and 4 nights stay at Tropicana Express during the Memorial Day weekend (May 21-25 2008).
Upon arrival at the front desk, we were greeted friendly and given information of the hotel and also what they had to offer as far as service and other things we could do around the hotel.
Since we haven't been back to Laughlin/Las Vegas in 9 yrs., it was much things we had to see and learn about the area and also the new slot machines. We had to learn about the player's card and how it works and what deals they had to offer on the cards. It was wonderful not to touch the coins and get your hands on black and only to receive a voucher to see what owes to you! And of course, I had better luck here than anywhere else at other casinos.
Our room was excellent. I am a disabled person and had requested a ADA accessible room. It was well equiped with the handle bars near the toilet and also the walk in shower. One thing though there wasn't any place to hang your towels after you used them, so we used the handle bars by the toilet. Oh well! I used my walker handles to lift me off the toilet seat!
All in all, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the furnishings was in good condition and like new. Nothing was broken or chipped on the furnitures and everything worked well.
I almost forgot to mention that the Mexican Restaurant (Cantina) was excellent. My husband and I both enjoy Mexican food and we truely enjoyed our meal.
My husband and I both recommend this hotel to other people and we plan to stay there againon our next trip to Laughlin.
