We had to find a place to stay cheap in a hurry and we booked thru i4vegas.com and we got rooms for $33 Thurs and $54 Fri and Sat nite. I asked for a fridge to hold my medicine, and they were prompt and friendly. They had a $5 resort fee for entrance to the spa and fitness center that we did not use. This fee also covered local phone calls and coffee maker and computer useage in the business center. They said you got 30 mins of free computer use, but DH went waaaayyyy over that time and they didn't say anything.
The room itself was nice and clean, and my DD was wearing white socks and they were still pretty white after her walking around the room. Yes, the bed was a bit hard, but clean. We had a n/s king, with a desk and a sofa and an another chair with a nice coffee table. Bathroom had nice goodies. Shampoo, soap, conditioner, lotion, shower gel AND mouthwash. Shower cap too! The safe was in the bathroom and it was plenty big and secure for our electronics. We had a nice view of the strip. Although, I would try to get a room a bit further from the elevator, because we had some drunken fight going on around 4:45 am - ugh.
Housekeeping didn't quite understand when we said we only needed shampoo and a few towels, she kept trying to make up the room.
If you sign up for their club card, you get a coupon for a free breakfast or lunch buffet. The breakfast buffet was pretty average, powered scrambled eggs, and an busy omlette station. I was impressed with the sweet potato pancakes.
Parking was a bit difficult, but I attribute that to a large convention and valet wasn't bad. I would say this is a hotel that is good for someone who is in Vegas with wheels. The shuttle drops you off at Bill's (formerly Barnaby Coast) across from Caesars.
The wait for food at TGIF was a bit much. Apparently they had a brand new menu and was still learning how to cook it.
Never got a chance to try the slots.
The line to check in was pretty good when we checked in, but when we were going to check out late Sat afternoon, the line was long.
Apparently, they have a bowling center and a child care center that guests can use. Our DD was too young, must be 2.5 and potty trained, but it may be helpful for others. I called a service from the Concierge from another property and was quoted $45 an hour, 4 hr min.
For the price, I feel like we got an excellent deal and I wouldn't mind staying at the Orleans again.
