This was our 4th trip to Vegas, and each time we try to stay somewhere different... this was the first year for us that Planet Hollywood was an option since it changed from the Aladdin and I was keen to try it out...
We stayed here during 4th July weekend, so the check in probably took a little longer than usual, about 20 minutes. However, we did arrive at about 1pm and our room was ready, which was just what we needed after a 10 hour flight from the UK.
We were given one of the remodelled rooms overlooking the Bellagio fountains. We had a Dick Tracy room, which had a machine gun and some little rings and other bits and bobs under the glass table top, a nice touch
The room itself was an average (for the US) size with 2 queen beds, but the bathroom was big, with a separate shower and tiolet and a stand alone bath
We also had a plasma TV on one wall, and here is our only moan - it was a little difficult to see ffrom the bed, and it wasnt straight on the wall !! Thats not a big deal though - who goes to Vegas to stay in and watch TV anyway ?
The decor in the room was fine, new carpets etc so overall a good choice for us at a reasonable price.
I enjoyed being in the casino, though we dont gamble it seems to have a really good atmosphere - music without being too in your face, or putting off any specific age ranges. When the jet lag kicked in it was great to be able to go downstairs and get a coffee and a bite to eat at 3 in the morning ! Strange though to share a lift with younger guests just going out for the night !!
We did the spice market buffet and it was good - loved the american section the best, good value for money if you can eat well !
I liked the miracle mile shops - still yet to be completel remodelled - I dont remember it being too different to the last time we were there but good shops and restaurants all the same
Overall we enjoyed our experience at PH and would stay there again
