We stayed at the Signature at MGM for 5-nights from June 7th - 12th and i must say it really is a fabulous place. We booked the room in tower 1 directly through the owner for $149/night including resort fees and housekeeping. We were on the 12th floor and had a Junior Suite
Upon arrival we were treated like stars, the bell man took our luggage and held the door for us to the lobby .. inside we were offered bottled water while waiting to check in. It was 12:30pm and we were told our suite was not yet cleaned and they took our cell phone number and said they would call when ready. We went over to the MGM Grand for a bite to eat and checked out the casino while waiting. Around 2 1/2 hours later we received a call our room was ready.
At check-in earlier the lady at the desk ask me if we were celebrating a special occasion or just on vacation, i told her we were celebrating our 10-year anniversary.
After getting our room key and all checked in we headed up to the 12th floor to our Junior Suite #12619 which was located at the end of the hallway away from the elevators, it was very quiet. The room was beautiful and everything was clean and neat .. upon entering the room we notice a greeting card on the table adressed to us and upon opening it we are surprised to see it's a Happy Anniversary card from the Signature as well as a fancy tray of chocolate truffles .. what a nice surprise !!! One very minor thing i noticed was the carpet looked a little worn and in need of replacement. We really liked all the extras including the coffee maker, blender, stove, microwave, kitchen sink, fridgerator and of course the big LCD flat panel TV. The bathroom was huge with double sinks, walk-in shower and a huge jacuzzi tub that was plenty big enough for 2 with extra room. The air conditioning worked really well and kept the room nice and cool.
Our favorite part of the room you ask ... THE BED & PILLOWS !! OMG the bed was the most confortable bed we ever slept in and the down pillows were equally as comfortable .. we never had trouble sleeping and always woke up feeling fresh and well rested.
The walk was not an issue for us at all, from tower 1 to the MGM Grand casino floor was approximately 12-15 minute walk. There are 2 moving walkways that connect the Signature to the MGM Grand .. all enclosed and air conditioned. The swimming area at the Signature is right outside the lobby area .. probably about 2-3 minutes from room if that. The MGM Grand pool was probably a 10-minute walk as it is located down the escalator right when you enter the MGM Grand after the moving walkways. I could possibly see the walk being a problem for an elderly person that has complications walking but like many have said before "It's Vegas and there is lots of walking "
Overall we loved the Signature and had an enjoyable stay, if your looking for a quiet place and smoke free and don't mind walking then this is a really nice place for the money. It is located at the south end of the strip and to walk to the mid strip area is probably about a 45-minute walk .. all depending how fast you walk and if you stop on the way.
