“Fabulous hotel, well worth staying at”

This was our 2nd stay at they Wynn (my friend and I went last August as well) and simply had to come back.

Unfort at check in we were told that the twin room (with a strip view) that we had reserved was not available and we would therefore have to share a king bed until the next day. We were told to ring down in the morning and they would change our rooms for us and move our luggage.

We went to reception in the morning and were told that our room was still not ready and that they would call our room and leave a message for us, by the time we got back to the hotel after 4pm there was still no message so I rang the front desk and was given a new room and the keys had been switched for us.

I went to the new room and although it was a twin room it was with the view at the back of the hotel rather than the strip view so I had to ring yet again to be told that twin rooms were only available at the back of the hotel, which I must admit I find rather strange.

In the end we went down to reception and spoke to one of the receptionists and realised that there was obviously some misunderstanding between what we believed to be a panaromic view (i.e. strip view) and what they understood it to be. When we booked the hotel through Trailfinders we specifically asked for a twin room with a strip view and paid more for this, however, at the hotel they understand a panoramic view to be a room on any floor between 50-60th floor front or back, after much to-ing and fro-ing we were upgraded to a corner room with 2 massive windows, front and side, on the 52nd floor, even though it only had a king bed, we decided to stay in this room (they will deliver an cot bed if required) as we had paid extra for the strip view and were in a resort room at the back of the hotel last year. It was just a shame that this was not made clear to us when we first checked in as it meant that we wasted quite a bit of time sorting this out and didn't unpack either, however the lady on reception was very courteous and helpful in the end and apologised for the mix up.

However, regardless of the hassle we initially had, we had a great stay and had a fab meal at the Wing Lei for my friend's 30th, enjoyed the gambling, thoroughly enjoyed Spamalot and found the hotel to be as great as it was last year. It's busy but not too busy to feel crowded, we were in a group of 9 and everyone loved staying at the Wynn.

I'm surprised at the comments made by another guest about the taxi doors not being opened and their luggage not being taken as we had no problems on this front and staff were always polite and helpful.

The pool is amazing, unfort we simply didn't get a chance to us it this year (we did last year and it was great, I don't remember having to pay for anything so not sure if this is something new as mentioned by a previous reviewer).

I would definitely recommend staying here as the rooms are spacious and comfy, the bathroom is great, the bath is fantastic and the bed is simply devine, one of the best beds I've ever slept in!!

Would definitely go back if I ever go back to Vegas!

“Perfection at last”

Wynn Las Vegas

We just came back from our honeymoon. The room we stayed at was the Tower Suites Room.

We're not another 'oh-my-god-this-is-the-best-ever-hotel-YEAAAAH' group. No. We critique and analyze every place and review it intelligently.

We can safely say that the Wynn is, so far, the best 5-star hotel we've ever been to. They provide the best rooms (size, quality, decor, lighting), food, service, concierge service (ask for William).

The price was unbelievable. It can get as low as $350 on week nights! (Hotels of that type of caliber would start at $700).

Try the breakfast buffet. It will change the way you view buffets forever.

If you're hesitating between the Bellagio or Wynn, dont waste your time. Wynn all the way.

“Memorable Family Trip”

We were celebrating our youngest son's 21st birthday and also our 30th anniversary. Since we wanted the Vegas experience to be special we chose the Wynn. We were not disappointed!! We booked 2 Tower Suites rooms online and from the moment we arrived everything went smoothly. We arrived early around noon, but both rooms were ready, king bed for us and 2 doubles as requested for our 2 sons. The Tower Suites staff are friendly and very helpful. We ate at three of the restaurants. Our son chose Tableau for his Birthday dinner, it was great and they even had a candle and a Happy Birthday Jonathan on his dessert plate. Our other two choices were SW and the Japanese restaurant Okada. All the restaurants were very polished and served interesting and innovative cuisine. We had our breakfasts at Terrace Pointe Cafe.
I had mentioned on our reservation that we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and wanted one of their nicest rooms. Well the rooms were gorgeous, but what really impressed me was the fact that when we came back from a walk our first day there, we found a bottle of champagne on ice and a plate of white and dark chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us, with a note from the manager wishing us well. A lovely gesture!!

I must say that the staff went above the call of duty in returning a drawer full of my husband's clothes. I have never left anything behind because I usually check and recheck each drawer. I don't know what happened this time but when I was unpacking the morning after we returned I realized what I had done. I called the front desk who connected me to housekeeping who connected me to Lost and Found. I thought I had left behind 3 pieces of clothing. Turns out I left behind six, and these were all high end things like Armani dress shirts and silk sweaters. After giving them some details, I received a UPS shipment within 3 days. They were amazing. And if that wasn't enough, the morning that we were leaving, our son bought a pack of casino grade Wynn playing cards as a souvenir. He brought them to his room put them down somewhere, probably threw a newspaper over them and totally forgot about them until we were at the airport. He calls the hotel from the airport and let's them know. It turns out the cleaning staff just picked up the newspapers and threw everything out because they weren't in the room. Well, to his great delight the hotel sent him the identical pack of cards. The customer service at the Wynn is amazing. We had a terrific time and would go back in a heartbeat. Bravo!!

“Fantastic”

Wynn Las Vegas

My husband and I have just returned from a 5 day trip to the Wynn and loved every minute of it. We upgraded to a salon suite upon arrival and the room was unbelievable. It was huge! The bathroom was bigger than my living room and it had it's own bar and massage room. There was a great view of the strip. Staying in a Suite entitled us to use the VIP pool area which was less crowded and noisy than the general pools. Towels were complimentary and then someone would lay them out on your sun lounger and provide bottles of water. Michael and Grace worked really hard all day in the desert heat and were always eager to please. There was waitress service on the pool deck and then mid afternoon someone would bring around little cups of fruit. It was the little touches like this that meant so much.

The food at all the restaurants is genuinely 5 Stars. We dined at Red8, Daniel Boulad and SW and were so impressed with the service, atmosphere and overall standard.

The only disappointment was the Saturday night. The concierge made a table reservation for us at Tryst. We thought that this meant we would have a table IN the club but it turned out to be in the lobby of the entrance to the club. It was awful. Hundreds of people were filing past us into the club. Each time we wanted to dance we had to show security a stamp on our wrist and fight out way through the lines to the dancefloor and fight our way back. We were charged $1,000 for this table and we were basically made to feel like the welcoming committee. The next morning I went straight to the concierge and explained what happened. They apologised and explained that although Tryst is part of the Wynn hotel it is sub-contracted and under different management. However, I pointed out that they should at least be managing people's expectations. Had the concierge said that the table was not guaranteed to be in the club then we would have made alternative arrangements. I must say the manager Betty handled the situation really well and re-imbursed us one night of our upgrade, so at least we felt they recognised the problem.

We also saw two shows, Jersey Boys and La Reve. I cannot rate them highly enough. The singing in Jersey Boys was outstanding and crystal clear. They were all very talented.

My trip to the Wynn was one of the best trips I have ever been on. Everyone should experience this hotel at least once in their lifetime. I was sad to leave it but will definitely be back. Thanks to everyone in the Tower Suites that made our trip so wonderful.
