This was our 2nd stay at they Wynn (my friend and I went last August as well) and simply had to come back.
Unfort at check in we were told that the twin room (with a strip view) that we had reserved was not available and we would therefore have to share a king bed until the next day. We were told to ring down in the morning and they would change our rooms for us and move our luggage.
We went to reception in the morning and were told that our room was still not ready and that they would call our room and leave a message for us, by the time we got back to the hotel after 4pm there was still no message so I rang the front desk and was given a new room and the keys had been switched for us.
I went to the new room and although it was a twin room it was with the view at the back of the hotel rather than the strip view so I had to ring yet again to be told that twin rooms were only available at the back of the hotel, which I must admit I find rather strange.
In the end we went down to reception and spoke to one of the receptionists and realised that there was obviously some misunderstanding between what we believed to be a panaromic view (i.e. strip view) and what they understood it to be. When we booked the hotel through Trailfinders we specifically asked for a twin room with a strip view and paid more for this, however, at the hotel they understand a panoramic view to be a room on any floor between 50-60th floor front or back, after much to-ing and fro-ing we were upgraded to a corner room with 2 massive windows, front and side, on the 52nd floor, even though it only had a king bed, we decided to stay in this room (they will deliver an cot bed if required) as we had paid extra for the strip view and were in a resort room at the back of the hotel last year. It was just a shame that this was not made clear to us when we first checked in as it meant that we wasted quite a bit of time sorting this out and didn't unpack either, however the lady on reception was very courteous and helpful in the end and apologised for the mix up.
However, regardless of the hassle we initially had, we had a great stay and had a fab meal at the Wing Lei for my friend's 30th, enjoyed the gambling, thoroughly enjoyed Spamalot and found the hotel to be as great as it was last year. It's busy but not too busy to feel crowded, we were in a group of 9 and everyone loved staying at the Wynn.
I'm surprised at the comments made by another guest about the taxi doors not being opened and their luggage not being taken as we had no problems on this front and staff were always polite and helpful.
The pool is amazing, unfort we simply didn't get a chance to us it this year (we did last year and it was great, I don't remember having to pay for anything so not sure if this is something new as mentioned by a previous reviewer).
I would definitely recommend staying here as the rooms are spacious and comfy, the bathroom is great, the bath is fantastic and the bed is simply devine, one of the best beds I've ever slept in!!
Would definitely go back if I ever go back to Vegas!
