I purchased a vacation package and I chose to stay at the Imperial because of the price and location. After I made my reservations I read some of the reviews here and I was REALLY nervous about staying there. I was pleasantly surprised though. My only two complaints are the RIDICULOUSLY SSSSLLLLOOOOWWW elevators and the check in process was slow. There is only 1 stairwell too that goes to the casino/lobby. The rest are emergency exits but most of them arent marked emergency exit only as I took one and ended up setting off the alarm. OooppsOther than that we were very happy. The room was clean, quiet and the beds were very comfortable. Housekeeping changed the beds everyday and left us plenty of towels. Everyone from the valets to the housekeeping staff was very friendly. There is even a Budget Rent-A-Car in the casino, so I rented a car for a day and went sightseeing outside Vegas. I didnt eat at the buffet, but I did have breakfast every morning in a coffee/ice cream shop called Bettys. Id recommend the Imperial to anyone BUT dont expect a fancy room. It was just your average no-frills hotel room. I will stay there again.
