Business serviceMy wife and I stayed at Bally's from April 26 to May 1 for a conference and really enjoyed the experience. It's mid-strip and walking in either direction gets you to any casino you want in just a few minutes. The Deuce (double decker bus that runs the strip and to downtown) is a great way to get around if you need to go further. And unless you absolutely must avoid fresh air, get outside and go to Red Rock Canyon or one of the other natural wonders just beyond the outer edge of the city.
Pros: Friendly staff, good food in both Bally's and Paris which is connected to Bally's. In fact, the food at a Le Provencal in Paris was excellent, as was Le Village Buffet. Nice casino with $5 tables most of the week, average decor for the strip. Excellent rooms in the North Tower (avoid the South Tower until its renovated). The pictures of my room show a damaged tub, that was probably chipped during installation, but the room really was very comfortable. Astonishingly huge property.
Cons: We requested a non-smoking room when we made reservations and none were available on Saturday when we arrived. They upgrade us to a Jr. Suite, but it was still a smoking room and it was a very bad night. The smoke in the casino gets worse during the night and isn't as well filtered out as in some of the other casinos (Bellagio, Caesars, Bill's, and the Flamingo - these last two had less smoke because the casino was open to outside). Astonishingly huge property. They charge extra for *everything*! $1.25 to make a call to an 800 number, $12.99 for internet access, $22.00 per day for access to the fitness room, $3 per day for the in-room safe, everything! Small and average pool area compared to the Bellagio, Caesars, and the Flamingo (which also has a European style pool area). Extremely limited cable selections for those late nights you just want to rest for an hour.

Business service4th time at Ballys and again a hotel that I like to stay in.
South Tower means arguements between me and the other, he would pay anything for the view which means the top floor of the ST.
Me fortnately I prefer a nice room and half decent views, yet again at check in offered a choice, slight kick to the other half's shin sorted that problem out.
North Tower rooms offer the same space as the South Tower but that is where the comparison ends. NIcely furnished, coffee maker and that in itself is a bonus in LV, beds I think I slept better in the ST and that is only because I hate Air Conditioning and it was better in the NT.
Whatever type of room you want just ask nicely.

Business serviceWe came to Vegas for a conference. The conference hotels were Bally's & Paris. Everyone I know who has stayed here said it was nice but dated. They must have been drunk while they were here. We reserved a room that was non-smoking w/ a King-size bed. What we got when we checked in was a smoking room with two queens. The folks who had the room prior to us must have chain-smoked in there. I don't mind smoke as do most, but this was like one of those smoking rooms in airports or malls. We were promised a new room the next day that met our original request. By noon we had our new nonsmoking room but no King bed. At this point, I just let it ride. On top of that, the staff sucks and you don't feel very welcome.
If you come to Vegas, spend a little more money and stay somewhere else.

ServiceLet me start off by saying this was my 5th trip to Las Vegas and my second time staying at Bally's and I cant say enough good things about this hotel. It has the perfect location, right in the middle of the strip, access to the monorail, great staff, and excellent huge , clean rooms. What else could one ask for.
I got an excellent rate ($59 per nite) and was expecting to be placed in one of the older rooms, but was graciously given a new room in the North tower, and it was excellent. Large, clean, comfy beds. I have stayed at some of the newer , larger hotels in Vegas, but definately prefer, the smaller , friendlier atmosphere of Ballys.
I would definatley recommend this hotel to anyone and I plan on returning to Vegas in July and I will be staying here again
