Spent three days at the North Columbus hotel. It is walking distance to Michigan Ave, Navy Pier, and Grant Park's north side. We used cabs to get to the museums (about $11 with tip). The central location was ideal for allowing the family to rest after seeing the sites. Pool was fine, and manager's reception was a nice touch. Breakfast was perfect, especially the made to order omlets. A step above the canned meals offfered at other hotels.

I found this hotel to be a great value for the money. The room was quite large, we have stayed at many suites in downtown chicago and I think this may be one of the best. Separate living room with sofa bed, microwave and fridge, then large bedroom with own sink in there. Clean lobby and rooms, staff friendly enough on check-in. Huge hotel but had plenty of elevators and had no problem going up or down. Didn't try the pool or cocktail hour, but breakfast was edible, the made-to-order eggs looked the best but I don't like eggs. The location also great, seconds away from Michigan ave. Absolutly no view from room, right into parking garage and was a little loud at night, but that never bothers me. Overall will probably stay here again.

Our family prefers this hotel to any other (including staying with family members in the city). It is conveniently located to everything we want to do. The staff is so friendly, they always remember us and it is like coming home each time we stay. We find the staff helpful when trying to locate things we are unfamiliar with, and their suggestions on places or servces we want to find are always perfect choices for us.

The rooms allow us the comforts of home from the fridge and microwave to the 2 rooms with TVs and the extra sink helps accomodate all of us! We have stayed her since our child was a baby and each and every time they make him feel like a king! Whether it was a crib with a cozy blanket, or a fold out bed made to look like a throne, parents and children are always made to feel comfortable. We like to convenience to the supermarket (on the next corner) to stock up on supplies while in town and everything we need is in walking distance - great restaurants or shopping.

We like the fact that we can use the indoor pool and love the hot breakfast with everything we would need to start the day of right.

The staff at this hotel is extra friendly and makes our family feel at home every time we are there. From the time we check in, and all through our stay their friendly and expedient service makes us want to return over and over again. The best value in town and the best location for seeing the city. Being frequent visitor, we appreciate the fresh renovations to the property. As a family traveling together, the rooms are perfect for us with everything we need to make our stay complete. No request seems to be unreasonable and is handled very promptly. Our family loves the hot breakfast in the morning, which gives us more than the standard cold contental that others offers ( a great way to start the day). This is our home away from home in Chicago!
