I stayed at the Springhill Suites by Marriott at Marriott Village on the night of April 24, 2008. The purpose of my trip was to attend several business meetings in Orlando. I wanted a clean, comfortable room to rest and get a good nights sleep. I also did not need a full service hotel due to the nature of my business schedule. As a loyal Marriott customer I thought that I would give this hotel a shot. I got a clean room, a little larger then average with a small refrigerator, microwave, two TV's, desk, sofa and a chair. The room was a little choppy for my taste but was adequate and would suit any business traveler or family. The Hotel is close to all the major theme parks. Disney, Sea World and Universal are all just minutes away and the hotel is located just off of I-4.
The hotel seemed to cater to families attending the theme parks and I noticed a few British accents while I ate the complimentary continental breakfast. The pool and hot tub were typical of this brand of Marriott product. There is also a Food Court and guests can walk to several restuarants. This is a good value hotel for a family on a vacation to Orlando. I would probably not choose it for business lay over but that had nothing to do with the quality of the room. The hotel is just geared more to the theme park traveler. If your visiting the parks, this is a good hotel option.

We just returned from this hotel on April 10th. This hotel is a great place to stay. It is close to Disney and the breakfast is wonderful. Pool area was very nice. My son had a blast!! I would recommend this hotel.

My wife and I, along with our 14 year old son and daughter travelled to Orlando for the first time ( staying for 2 weeks from the 14th March 2008). We picked the Springhill suites as we thought the extra room would be of benefit with four of us sharing a room. I can't really find any fault with the hotel, the room was cleaned and towels changed everyday. The Hotel in general was very clean, including the pool area. The staff were very polite and helpful. Exterior decorating was taking place whilst we were there, but it did not affect our stay. The Hotel was situated in a quiet area close to Interstate 4. By car it took us 10 mins to Seaworld, 15 mins to Disney and 20 mins to Universal.

There have been one or two comments in other reviews about lack of seating at breakfast. I have to say that when we went for breakfast between 7.30 and 8.45, we did not have any problems finding a table for the four of us. However, on two days when we slept in and went for breakfast at 9.30, it was very busy, but we still managed to get a table. Some people have also moaned about plastic cups and plates etc. I have to say this style of self service is common in some of the hotels I have stayed in whilst on business and it is a way of keeping the price down.

If you're looking for a long slow breakfast, reading your news paper whilst being waited on, then this hotel is not for you. However, if you and your family want a clean hotel to sleep, shower and eat breakfast before tackling the parks, then I can recommend it and we will be using this hotel again when we return to Orlando.

stayed at the springhill suites from the 12/3/08 to 26/3/08. Hotel was excellent very clean and rooms were large compared to european destinations. Rooms have 2 large tv's microwave and fridge plus iron/ironing board. Free coffee and tea in the lobby use of 3 x swimming pools which were all nice and warm.

Breakfast was a buffet style but plenty of choice just what you need prior to a day at the parks plus you can take food with you to eat later (You dont get that in Spain!!). All the staff were very friendly and polite you do initially get asked if you want to purchase park tickets but already had tickets purchased form the UK (Attraction tickets direct which i would recommend).

The gym is a bit dated regards the equipment but i used it several times and vineland avenue is a nice run for joggers around 3 miles from the hotel and back. Parking is plentiful and the car parks have barrier access. There are free towels to use by the pool and it never gets crowded.

There are several resturants in walking distance are favourite 2 were Bahama Breeze and Carrabbas, ate there both several times very nice!!

All in all would definately recommend this hotel british guests wont be disapointed compaired to the standard of hotel on the spanish costas
