Fantastic looking building even though it's close enough to the airport to see (and hear) the planes take off and land. Despite the beautiful courtyard with palms, waterfalls and even some caged birds and the restaurant, which was not half bad, the rooms and other services in the area were lacking. Problems in room included a faulty toilet that sounded like the wall was going to come down each time you flushed; an airconditioner that leaked water (and it puddled) on the carpet in front of the fridge. When the AC was turned on it sounded like a V8 engine coming through the room. Also, had to call twice for toilet paper to be delivered to the room.
The microwave did not work and of the two TVs in the room, one did not work (had a line running across the screen) and the other's remote was broken. Also, after sitting in the lounge area of the room for an hour, bug bites appeard on our legs - not sure what they were, but it was disgusting.
As for services, do not use the gift shop or room service. Two diet cokes (10 oz bottels) cost us $9.00 - room service, while the gift shop was overpriced beyond belief.
I always stay at an Embassy Suites, but will never stay at this one again. Two nights was bad enough.
