I had booked a table 2 months in advance for Valentine's day and when I arrived I was made to wait 20-30 minutes, while this in itself is not good what made it worse was I was not offered a cocktail while I waited, at the very least you could be given a glass of bubbly on Valentine's day while made to wait for a table you had reserved so far in advance. Another gesture could have been to waive the corkage but again no hint of remorse. Once seated my date had the Duck which she enjoyed very much, I myself had the overpriced, fatty steak which only added to my displeasure. Simply put there are much better options in this gastronomical paradise.

I had dined here previously and enjoyed it, it was before changing chefs which is seemingly recent, I hope for their sake things improve, location alone will not suffice I am afraid.

On a quick trip to the Napa Valley, we were fortunate to find this lovely little restaurant. A little pricey, but very, very good.

I am local to the Napa Valley and there are many, many great dining choices. Sometimes it is hard to choose. The other night we decided to finally try Angele. The food is French Bistro. We were in France this Summer and I was hoping the food would be half as good. It was fantastic. I had been craving French Onion soup and this was one of the best I have ever had. My friend had the Salad with fresh beets and feta- excellent. The Lamb Osso Bucco was amazing. Not a traditional braise, but more of a loin. The Poulet Roti was even better than any I had in France. My husband found the leftover in the fridge later that night and came into the room exclaiming, WHERE did you get that chicken? The decor is charming and the service friendly and attentive. They have an outdoor patio overlooking the River in Summer.

Ate here my first night in napa and felt like we kept on saying how good it was for the rest of the trip. Staff was very nice and friendly, we showed up a little bit late and the staff was very accomindating.
