“Loved the Inn and the Inn Keepers”

The Inn On First

5 of 5 stars
Round Tock
Jun 15, 2008

We had a delightful two days at this charming inn. It was first class all the way. The room was large, nicely appointed with superior linens and towels. The bed was sooo comfortable with lots of pillows. The heart shaped hot tub sounded a little over the top, but it was really nice and we enjoyed a nice soak in front of the fireplace with a glass of wine.
We were greated upon our arrival with a sparkling wine split, and a fridge filled with complimentary snacks, water and softdrinks. The homebaked cookies every day were scrumptious and pleantiful.
Breakfast in the dining room was casual, but the cuisine was not. It was creative, individually prepared and beautifully presented. Our hosts are very knowledgable about local restaurants, wineries and local activities from a 5 star restaurant to the best burgers in Napa.
The gardens are fabulous with native and exotic plantings and comfortable seating areas.
We will plan to stay much longer on our next trip to Napa.

“Best B&B we have ever been to”

The Inn On First

5 of 5 stars
Belmont, Ca
Jun 8, 2008

Our only experience in Wine country in the past has been with friends and their favorite spots.
Needless to say we had been to a lot of commercial locations and thought that is what Napa was all about.
Our stay at the Inn on First brought us to the correct way to enjoy the region. Jim and Jamie are super friendly and are willing to help on all matters, from a referral, to help planning your full day.
Also had the greatest wines at small family owned wineries suggested by them.
Our room was fantastic and cozy, very comfy and very well put together.
If you are a city dweller and want to enjoy what Napa is really about definitely stay here and enjoy the warmth of these 2 hosts.

“First trip to Napa and first time staying at a B&B”

The Inn On First

5 of 5 stars
Dallas, Texas
Jun 3, 2008

We stayed for 3 nights in May, it was our first time in Napa Valley and our first time staying at a B&B. Jim, Jamie, and Mercedes were all very friendly and gave us advice on where to go in wine country. The breakfasts are very unique and tasty. We stayed in the Veraison room which was nice. The Inn is within walking distance to downtown Napa so we walked to dinner every night which was convienent. We decided on this Inn based on the reviews on Tripadvisor and we weren't dissappointed! It's a great place to stay.

“Great Trip, Great Place”

The Inn On First

My wife and I planned this trip for over 9 months for our 2nd Anniversary. Their recommendations were superb. They are very easy to talk to and great sources of information about the area. We thought the decor was very smart, not at all stuffy or overwhelming.

The food that Jim puts together is quite tasty for all his "conejillo's". I appreciated that he would sit down with us after breakfast and we could all rate the food. I thought it was very open minded. Especially since I like to cook, I learned a lot just by talking to him.

So I have already sent one couple up there and anytime I hear of anyone going to Napa, I would recommend Jim and Jamie anytime.

Thanks again. We had a blast!

“Go for the breakfast, stay for the room”

The Inn On First

5 of 5 stars
Houston, TX
Jun 2, 2008

My husband and I are both frequent bed and breakfast stay-ers so we speak from experience when we say that this is one of the best B&Bs we have ever been to. From the moment you make your reservations with them, Jim and Jamie are ready to help the daunting task of planning all the details of your napa valley visit. From making dinner reservations, recommending trasportation to reserving winery tours, there is nothing they will not help with. The breakfast was amazing and unlike most bed and breakfasts the breakfast time was placed perfecty from 9am to 10am. No one wants to get up early while they are on vacation. You also can not go wrong with any of the rooms, they are all beatiful with a jacuzzi and fire place. Our room was in the main house facing the street but there was no traffic noise at all. Overall, I'd highly reommend at stay at this Inn if you are visiting Napa.
