I stayed there 3 nights. Place needs a major repair. Just because places to stay are very expencive around (close to Hollywood) they still stay in business/ But owner (manager?) was trying his best to accomodate us. For more than 100 per night you will get murky, old, cheap room and chipped tiles in a shower, comfortable beds, frige, microwawe, TV (never turned it on). I could not believe my eyes (thinking: what the dump!) and will never stay there again. Also walls are too thin. All 3 nights we heard somebody's steps upstairs, floor were very noisy and actually we could hardly sleep.

After a couple of nights of no sleep and hassles at the riot hyatt, we drove down Sunset Blvd. to the Econolodge and rented a room for the night. We ended up extending our stay for 5 nights.. The room was old, but clean. For $72 a night in Hollywood, and FREE parking, I didn't expect much. The staff and service, however, were outstanding. The pool was clean, landscaping perfect, the room was quiet and everything functioned properly. Something happened with our T.V. and they sent maintenance up within 2 minutes and had it fixed. Like I said, it was an old place, but it was very convenient and close to several attractions (across the street from the Rock Walk, a few blocks from Hollywood Blvd) and the staff was very helpful. I would highly recommend this place for traveling on a budget. And if you are there for the rock and roll, every night at least one band was staying at this hotel (and it was still amazingly quiet...)

I won this motel as a 1* Priceline hotel for about $60, including fees. The location is OK, but the room had problems: missing baseboard molding, no clock radio, a broken toilet paper holder, the bathroom mirror was hung from the towel rack, several cigarette burn holes in my blanket and there was an overall musty smell pervading the room, like they were trying to cover up mold. It's seemed as though they started to renovate my room and quit 75% of the way through. Plus, I never got a receipt for anything I paid for like parking ($5) or local phone calls. The complimentary breakfast was your basic coffee and danish, which is a nice touch considering how cheap the rooms are. The staff was OK, too but I would not want to stay here again and I'm not that picky. It's budget (low budget?) with a capital "B".

This was, without a doubt, one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. When I first arrived, they gave me a room on the first floor that smelled so strongly of pine-sol and bug spray that my eyes watered. I began to understand why when I saw roaches outside that were so big you could have strapped on a saddle and rode them. I asked to be moved up to the second floor. It was a little bit better, but not much. I wore socks when I walked around so my feet wouldn't get dirty, and I wore flip-flops in the shower. I felt like I was in college again! They weren't strict on the rules since there was a hispanic family that stayed in the King room next to me with 8 people in it! No joke! The management and the price were fine. That was about the only thing going for this hotel! I'd recommend spending a little bit more money and getting something more decent. It's definitely worth it.
