“Best Value in Los Angles, hands down”

Luxe Hotel Rodeo Drive

4 of 5 stars
Los Angeles

I lived in Beverly Hills for ten years. My wife and I routinely return for a connection to the city that we love. Please be aware, and take it from a local who looks for local hotels for a weekend get-a-way, you cannot get a better location and first class room for this price anywere Los Angeles, let alone directly on Rodeo Drive! The staff is professional and friendly. It is small and is a Boutique Hotel in style, but I prefer it to the unfriendly, overpriced megamonster hotels. If you want the Beverly Hills, Westside Los Angeles, Hollywood scene at a resonable price, this is it.

“God location”

Luxe Hotel Rodeo Drive

A good location but finding the valet parking entrance down rear alley
is not easy! Ok room, comfortable and clean if a little soul less. Restaurant empty when we stayed. Beverly Hills is a strange place though - fine for a day or so, but don't stay much longer.

“Luxe Rodeo Drive - front row for people watching and shopping”

Luxe Hotel Rodeo Drive

Nov 5, 2007

We had a short visit at the Luxe Rodeo Drive last weekend. A friend booked it for us, thinking that the location was perfect (which it is, for the fashionista) but unfortunately we were too busy to shop. The hotel itself is small but fairly well maintained. I found the front desk friendly, personable and relaxed unlike previous reviews. The spouse and I are averagely dressed northwesterners without designer anything, so I assume their treatment of everyone is as cordial as the one we received.

The room was simply furnished, had high ceilings, new carpet, nicer linens, and most importantly a comfortable bed with good pillows. Bathroom was pretty basic. Ivory soap and all that.

The location was very fun, with a small sidewalk cafe that is perfect for lounging and people watching. Our room was facing rodeo so we were able to do some people watching during the short time we were there. Very entertaining for plain folk like us!

I rated it a 4 because of the smallness of the bathroom and somewhat aged furniture, though the soft goods were reasonable quality. I have no complaints about the service except we had an extra restaurant charge, which was removed after some negotiation. Our stay was fine; I'd stay here again if I wanted to be close to some good shopping and people-watching.

“Arrogant, unfriendly front desk staff”

Luxe Hotel Rodeo Drive

Aug 12, 2007

Arrogant, unfriendly front desk staff.
After our first night we asked for our room to be changed (to a room with a balcony that we had pre - booked) and were told that it would be changed when we arrived back from our daytrip out to Universal Studios later that day, ( really worth visiting ). Arrived back at the Hotel quite late, only to be told by the receptionist Beverly that the message to change our rooms had not been passed on to her and that the hotel was full anyway and no more rooms were available. Her arrogant unfriendly attitude annoyed both myself and my wife. When I got back to my room I decided to phone back down to reception to complain about Beverly's attitude and to speak to the Manager. I was told Beverly was on her break and couldn't speak to me. The (male) receptionist then asked what my problem was and when I told him he immediately moved us to a better room, with a balcony. So much for Beverly's "no rooms were available".
The location is excellent for local restaurants and window shopping in Rodeo Drive but the attitude of the staff ruined it for us.
In my opinion the staff should be coached in good manners and civility before serving the general public.

“Experience the Beverly HIlls Attitude at your Hotel”

Luxe Hotel Rodeo Drive

Great location if you plan to shop on Rodeo drive and the valets are excellent, but the main desk staff are not friendly. They send you off to your room and don't tell you that you are trapped in the elevator until you figure out how to use it...without any assistance. They give you a free breakfast card and scratch out the real meal...and you find out in the resturant that the line on the card means that you only get rolls for breakast...and the staff would not budge when asked. The staff at the front desk never say hello and never smile. The view from the room was of a white wall. I would not go back...it was not the lux...urious experience I was expecting.
