We heard from Greek friends that this was the place to stay in Kalambaka and I think they were right. Not exactly charming, a real chain hotel but high quality finish, service etc. We could book 2 connecting rooms which is always good with children. Smart bar, breakfast, buffet lunch. On the pricey side but it was new year holday season. The info thev gave about opening times of the monasteries was not 100% (one was closed for the whole winter,<you'd have thought they'd know).

Try to insist on themountain view.

The hotel looks like completely renovated from the lobby to the rooms.
We didn't pay the price for a room with view, but both our room and bathroom are of decent size. The furnitures are new, the bedding of good quality. Air conditioning worked well.
The dining room is huge, bright with good view, so are the two brand new elevators with glass walls.
The hotel is located at the end of the main road of Kalambaka, it is quiet and still convenient for shopping and dining in the town-centre.

my wife and i stayed for 2 nights in this hotel during a medical convention.
overall the hotel is nice an average 4 star hotel.
it has been renovated in most parts.our room had a nice view of the gardens and the pool.the size of the room was rather small and the bathroom was small for a 4 star hotel.it was nicely decorated and the furnitures in excellent condition.the room was very clean.it had a furnished balcony.the room had two single beds pushed together as one-very comfortable-(there were rooms with king size bed as well),the pillows were like bags feeled with cement(!),a t.v set with pay t.v. and hotel's music program, a mini bar poorly stocked and adequate lightning.the air-condition was working perfectly.the bathroom amenities were of good quality but nothing special(shampoo,bath gel and soap).the towels were extremely soft.there was no bathrobe or sleepers.soundproof was terrible(we had a room with a connecting door-we could hear everything that was happening in the next room but some friends of ours who had a room with no interconnected room they did not face any soundproof problems)
there was no sitting area just an armchair .
the lobby was elegant and partially renovated.the restaurant was very typical of a large hotel's breakfast room.the food though was excellent but lacked of atmosphere.
the indoor swimming pool was very nice in perfect temperatures but even you had to pay extra they did not provide you bathrobes or sleepers.there were a few instruments for gymnastic, a very small hammam and a finlandian type sauna.the area was very clean.the stuff was not proffesional at all.
generally in the area there is not a better hotel so i believe if someone wants to visit meteora this is the best choice so far.
it is an average hotel for 1 or 2 nights.

.The Divani is a contradiction in terms. If you are fortunate to get the renovated section of the hotel the other section is a hole. We checked in and were assigned a room in the old section. What a surprise the furniture right out of the nearly new store complete with broken table top and drawers that would not open. The bathroom a lovely blue and purple motif with a window in the duct and pipe shaft for ventilation. you could reach across and open the opposite rooms window in their bathroom. Real nice Spoke to the manager who claimed all the rooms were the same. (not) After much disscussion we were given two very nice rooms in the renovated section, which interestingly enough our tour guide had also. Seems all the other people on the tour were assigned the cheap rooms. There is quite a few hotels in Kalimbaca choose another one on the main street.
