My partner and I had a splendid stay at Hotel Vain. Being our first but certainly not the last trip to Buenos Aires we were not sure what area of the city we wanted to stay in. After careful research we decided on Palermo. We found Hotel Vain on the internet and thought it would fit our needs quite well.
We could not have been more pleased with our choice. Beyond architecture, the room and the area what made Vain such a remarkable experience was the staff. They were beyond friendly and kind. We were very particular with what we wanted to see and do while staying in BA. The hotel staff was always so thoughtful and went out of their way to make recommendations and suggestions as well as facilitating our requests with better suggestions.
I have read the complaints posted here on Trip Advisor that speak to the price of the hotel. As we reside in New York City where prices are at a premium, this criticism seems a bit ridiculous to me. For the price you get a five star experience for a two star cost. There is a breakfast included in the price. There are several choices not a coffee and role. I highly suggest the Eggs Benedict which is truly sublime.
One day during our stay the Hotel was having some water issues addressed by a plumber. Now, I must admit this was a bit annoying as water pressure was low. However, even though we did not complain, the staff comped us a bottle of wine which in and of itself would have been nice but they went one step further and the following evening served tapas and cocktails in the Hotel Lobby. This was not expected but much appreciated. Again, five star service.
The hotel itself was constructed from an old two family home. The rooms are lovely, warm and comfortable and the overall design is very aesthetically stunning. There is a rooftop deck where you can pear into the night sky of the southern hemisphere. Next to this is a large multi level “business center” wreck room that you are always welcome to use, check email and watch TV on the big screen.
I HIGHLY recommend staying at Hotel Vain! Most certainly, you will want to return.
