“Not a 5 star hotel”

Although the hotel states a five star status for those of you who have stayed at a five start hotel you will definitely realize that 725 is not a five star hotel. Don't get me wrong it's not a bad hotel maybe a bit above average at best. The rooms and bathroom were okay, there are no drawers for you to place your clothing in, just a tiny closet to hang things. The room was not that clean, I noticed stains on the wall behind the curtain and there were hairs and dust on the floors. The pool area is tiny, there are around 10 chairs so if you don't get there early you're not laying out. The hotel is located in the middle of the business center so M-F it's packed with locals going to work and there are also a number of demonstrations going on. If you want to stay in the middle of the city then 725 is not too bad of a choice, if you want to stay in Recoleta I definitely recomment the Hyatt or Four Seasons, these were absolutely stunning hotels and I regret not staying there and paying the extra money.

“Awesome Trendy Hotel for less than $200/night!”

This hotel is a fantastic find for the price! Its very modern (recently remodeled) and hip. The rooms are decent sized and very clean. The minibar was FREE - beer, soda, water - a nice added extra when used to paying $8 for a bottle of water out of a minibar.

The concierge was very helpful and we enjoyed several great dinners during our stay (Sucre in Palermo, Asia de Cuba in Puerto Madero, and a tango show at Senor Tango).

The business center is nice and offers free internet. Breakfast was also included in our nightly charge and was fantastic.

The rooftop pool is fantastic - great views of BA. If you're looking for a pool "scene" though - go to the Faena Hotel in Puerto Madera - awesome!

The location was mediocre - its very close to Avenida Florida which is a very touristy shopping area filled with cheap leathers. Its only a ten minute taxi ride to Puerto Madero and about 15-20 to Palermo and the taxis in B.A. are pretty cheap.

Overall, would definitely recommend this place for the price!

“Skip it if you want to sleep: OLD WOOD Floors in between the rooms.”

725 Buenos Aires Hotel

3 of 5 stars
San Francisco, California
Jan 6, 2008

The wifi is hit and miss - hotel is nice but they don't pay attention to the details Old towels on the roof, dirty areas etc. but the main problem is that between floors are OLD WOOD floors - you hear everythign from the person above you since there is no carpet. And if you are wearign hard shoes or moving the desk chair - i am sure the person below you is hearing you.

We moved here from the Sheraton and i found their room service to be not only lacking in quality, it was much more money and the staff were less than robotic.

If you want to stay out all night and then sleep by the non-heated pool, not a bad location or choice.

“Nice Place”

I stayed at the 725 for 5 nights last week. It is a very modern hotel with a great old feel. The staff was really great and the pool is fabulous. there is free internet and the phone rates for local calls are reasonable, although you can do much better walking to one of the local locutorios. The mini bar is free and they re-stock it with OJ, a few beers and water. The bed was great and the standard room was a nice size. The breakfast is amazing and they have free hi-speed internet. The bathroom is also nice. I would highly recommend this place. Shop around and you can get a room for $160-180 or so with all taxes instead of the $220 expedia charges.

“Good for a Quick Stay”

725 Buenos Aires Hotel

4 of 5 stars
San Francisco
Nov 7, 2007

After two weeks at the BoBo Hotel in the Palermo district of Buenos Aires, my girlfriend and I ended up here our last night in the city. The large and modern rooms were nice, but seemed a little cold and impersonal. I would not have wanted to stay here for too long. If you are only making a quick trip to Buenos Aires, this place could be good only because it is conveniently located near many of the tourist attractions. On the other hand, we did have trouble finding a good place to eat within a reasonable distance. All in all, 725 would be good for the business traveler or the person who only plans to be in the city a couple of days. Otherwise, I would recommend finding somewhere in the Polermo Soho district.
