I stayed at this hotel in early April 2008. I specifically chose it because of the central location and wasn't disappointed. I arrived in BsAs on a plane from Rio de Janeiro and took the Manuel Tienda Leon (www.TiendaLeon.com) shuttle for only $12 (yes, they accept greenbacks) or 36 Pesos. The downtown terminal (the only stop) is only 3 blocks from the hotel. Be sure to ask for directions because I'm afraid if we didn't we would have probably walked in the wrong direction. The hotel is also only 3 blocks to the Buquebus ferry terminal for trips to Montevideo and Colonia de Sacramento, Uruguay.
The rooms and hotel were relatively new. The rooms either faced the harbor or an alley and office building. My room, facing the street and harbor, had great black out curtains that kept the early morning sun out until a reasonable hour. Each room had a large TV and some even had small kitchenettes (sink and microwave). I especially liked the large, comfortable bed. I've travelled the world and can't begin to describe the number of really hard mattresses I've had and this hotel had some of the softest. I know other reviews have complained but I really liked the beds and got a great nights sleep while there.
Breakfast was included but was nothing special simply eggs, cereal, fruits and coffee and juices. Breakfast, while not a high point, was acceptable and filling.
The hotel also has 8 Internet PC's in the basement for the use of all guests. While I was at the hotel, 4 nights, they were in constant use but there was always at least one available at all times (no waiting).
I chose this hotel because of its location - close to the Airport Bus terminal, Buquebus ferry terminal and downtown shopping and historical sites. I would and have recommended this hotel to others. It was newer, clean, included breakfast and I got a good rate on the company's website.
