Ok... before I start this review I will post a copy of an email I sent to Sheraton Management (this hotel is managed by Sheraton):
I just feel the need to send an email to someone who is supposedly in charge of the hotel group or at least gives a damn. My stay at the Park Tower, Buenos Aires was one of the worst I have ever had and I intend on making sure that every single family member, friend, associate, business partner, etc. stays away from any hotel managed by this poor group. In addition I will spread the word by electronic media; you can never hide from public opinion! You people are by the best standards pathetic and I would prefer to stay in a lesser quality hotel and at least PAY FOR WHAT I GET. If you do care at all and would like to know what my actual complaints are you can either email me directly at xxxxxxxxxxx@xxxxx-xxx.com or contact the duty manager on duty at the time who I unfortunately had to not only express my concerns too but at the same time express my absolute dissatisfaction too. I WILL MAKE SURE NEVER EVER TO STAY IN ANY SHERATON OR SHERATON MANAGED PROPERTY EVER AGAIN! Once again, if you people truly want to be considered a five star hotel group; you have a responsibility to make sure that the standards you claim to represent are truly implemented. THERE IS NOTHING MORE TO SAY!
Now for those who would actually like to know what my issues are, the hotel certainly did not, they are as follows:
1. No one ever picks up the phone at either the concierge or front desk. My wife’s sister who is studying in Buenos Aires had this problem when trying to contact us, I had this problem when trying to contact the hotel while out, my parents had this problem while calling from across the world & we had this problem while in the hotel!
2. Housekeeping is beyond useless. We called housekeeping and requested that they come to clean the room while we went shopping, we return 4 hours later and nothing is done. This is after the previous night in which we returned to the hotel at about midnight to find the room still dirty, then had to wait in the lobby while it was cleaned. To top it off, when I asked the concierge where we could have a drink while waiting, I got the typical no smile, unhelpful attitude which I now know to be a prerequisite before taking up employment in this horrible hotel.
3. When I complained to the duty manager I was sent a free bottle of their cheapest champagne, my wife is pregnant, so you can imagine how much of that we drank.
4. Then upon check out, everything clicked, I am paying 5 star prices for 2 star service and it makes me angry. I don’t blog, I never post anything on the internet, however I feel the need to spread the word when I get so unbelievably ripped off.
5. Last but certainly not least, anyone planning a trip to Buenos Aires should stay at the Four Seasons a magical hotel that we got married in during the month of FEB 2008. The only reason we did not stay their when transiting through BA was that it was full and considering the service understandably so.
