My friend and I were down in Tamarindo for a week and we fit a lot in while we were there: kayaking, golfing, surfing lessons, etc. Everything was fun, but the sailing on the Blue Dolphin II was the best part of the whole week. The captain and crew took care of everything: they kept us informed about what we'd be doing/where we'd be going, served apps and drinks non-stop, set us up with snorkeling gear and kayaks and just made a constant effort to make sure we were having fun. There were a bunch of other people on the boat who we got to know and everyone talked about where to go/places to eat, etc., so it was a cool way to meet some people and get thier take on Tamarindo. The sailing was really calm and easy, the trampolines up in the bow were comfortable, the tunes kept playing the whole time - what a great day. I highly recommend it!

We had heard good things about this excursion and we were not dissappointed! The boat, crew, and overall service was top notch. The sail to and from our snorkling destination offered beautiful views of the Tamarindo shoreline. The snorkling was very good and those who did not wish to see the fish had an easy swim to the secluded beach. Lastly, there was no shortage of cold beer, water and soda to keep us hydrated and happy. Not to be forgotten was the complimentary high quality Blue Dolphin T-shirt that we were given at the end of the day! This day trip was definantly a highlight of our stay in Tamarindo.

My trip to Costa Rica was full of wonderful surprises. None being more fun than sail we took on the Blue Dolphin. The service food and company was superior. Peaceful and social at the same time. I hope to go back again...soon. Kudos to Cap'n Jeff and his wife Jen. They put on a good show!

I have visited Costa Rica numerous times and one of my most favorite activities is sailing on Blue Dolphin. The sunset/snorkel trip is the best...amazing scenery, glorious sunsets, food and drink, fun, fun, fun. And always something different to see (sting rays, dolphins and on my last trip, two humpback whales, a mama and baby). The highly professional crew makes sure everyone is having a good time, no matter what your age. I plan to do this again and again.
